We stayed at the Pemebonwon site over Memorial Day weekend. I'm posting pictures of the site and entrance because I couldn't find ANY pictures anywhere, so I'm hoping these could help someone hoping to stay here!

The 1st photo is the marking to the parking lot off the main road, it doesn't indicate for the campsite. We actually had a local man help us out, because otherwise we wouldn't have known!

The path from the parking lot to the site is about 1.5 miles, instead of the stated 1 mile. It's fairly hilly, nothing too hard but it isn't a flat trail.

It does have a primitive toilet, which I didn't see mentioned in the reservation, so that's a bonus.

The ticks and mosquitoes were plentiful. Please prepare yourself accordingly for with bug spray and several tick checks a day.

This spot is gorgeous, and I do recommend for those who are into primitive camping spots.

This place is amazing! We went to hike and find some geocaches. The trail is really fun and challenging. We hiked a field on the way and and the pier four route on the way back. We saw river rafters and kayaks. The rapids look pretty challenging; one kayaker flipped over! But he was okay. It started pouring, but we still had a great time.
