It’s a short and slippery hike down to the sand, but well worth it. The hole in the wall reveals itself and the passage to the other side is opened. Small space, few people, heavenly rhythms of waves.
Beautiful, clean beach that has tide pools and very interesting rock formations. We loved our visit here! At night, many people came down to the beach for Saturday get togethers with friends and small beach fires. A great place to play with the dogs (people had dogs but there is a no dog sign). Definitely check it out!
Best place to have pictures here.
1. Beach with rock arch. You will go through this arch and you will get this beautiful ocean view making it the best place to have best pictures. (There was couple photo shoot when we were there).
2. Beautiful sunset here. You will get more beautiful pictures as sunset goes through this arch.
3. Few hikes and high line view points here.
4. Sand is good. So you can play games here like volleyball.
Down side:
1. Tides are pretty dangerous here. So watch before you go for swim. (Although I didn’t see anyone swimming here when we were there so no idea if we can really swim here). Don’t go near water if the tides are too high. ( we did experiment here, we put huge rock near water, and it got pulled away in 3 min with tides.)
2. Watch whether and clouds before you go.

Amazing beach. Recommend going at low tide. Lots of tide pools to explore sea life. Used to be a great local hangout that wasn't very well known. The internet changed that..... just be a cool human being and pick up your trash when you leave. 👍
A bit of a challenging hike to get down and back up but my 8 year old daughter did just fine. Found some jellyfish along the beach. Not very busy on a Friday around noon, only a couple of other groups there.
Been here a couple of times when we lived in the Bay Area. This time we were in CA on a quick visit (me for work and hubby to see his grandmother). Decided to make a trip to the beach and ocean as we don't get this in CO. Beautiful as always. Took a walk down the beach through the hole in the wall. Great day with family and friends.
