I would give a a 0 star if I could. We booked for a screen where our seats where 13,14,15 and the screen was changed to another where there was no seat number 15 at all. We booked it online to enjoy the movie together with our friends in the center row. Some of us sat on the corner of the screen and only one guy could sit in the center row. And the guy who collected the ticket said that that's all he can do. If you can't offer the service for what you charge please handover it to someone who can do business as promised.

Sounds quality is pathetic here . My home theatre speakers sound better than those that theatre ones. No bass or no beats . Will never watch any movie here again .not sure what they have renovated recently.

Visited these cinemas for the very first time. They would remind you of old Indian cinemas and they play mostly all South Indian films here. Buy ticket only and get it printed inside the cinemas. You can't bring outside food but you will get refreshments there as well.

One of the popular destinations for watching / experiencing South Asian movies or movies from other languages in Toronto.
The place has close to 7+ auditoriums or viewing halls. Most of the movies released in India come to the York Cinemas almost around the same time.
Even if one has booked the tickets online, one would require them to be scanned near the ticket vending machine (near the coffee bar) for physical print outs of the ticket.
The place was not kept clean all the times I have been here. The same went with the restrooms reminding of a typical third world country theatre if you will.
There is a very large parking lot adjoining the theatre so parking is never a problem. The same management owns Woodside Cinemas as well. That is yet another destination for movies in foreign language.

Good theatre in terms of cleanliness, screens, seating comfort. But today, while watching a movie, we could hear the sounds from the adjacent theatre throughout the movie. Altogether, it gave a bad experience.
Should improve the audio insulation so that everyone can enjoy their experience while here.

👋 I am deleted my old review from YorkCinemas . Because today(20/10/2023) I watched “Leo”(Badass🔥) in Screen 5 ( Paradise) they are renovated some screen to ‘Dolby Atmos’ with 💺 seat upgrades ( also ticket price 26 😆with tax) This time theatrical experience is really awesome. Thank You 🙏 Yorkcinemas management Bring Thalapathy Badass to great theatrical experience. I hope management team will upgrade their other screens 🔜…..🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️

Went for a Rajinikanth first day first show movie. The energy and excitement was fun to watch and totally enjoyed the cheers. They have a good choice of food at the counters to buy catering to different ages. The hall capacity is decent size. The screen and sound system is very good and the chairs are quite comfortable. Would have liked it being a step type gallery, though the layout is inclined, would have been better.
