We loved the campground however when it was time to check out we were only 3 minutes late and the lady at the front office was extremely rude! Not just to me but to my family as well. I understand we were in the wrong but there is no need in being ugly about it she could have handled it a better way and I don't appreciate being treated that way. Maybe you should look into hiring new staff thanks.

We've been coming here for a number of years now. It's a great state park and it's surrounded by a nice community. It has lots of opportunities for kayaking and paddle boarding as well as beautiful sugar-sand beaches. There is a coastal trail near the beach and forest trails in the northern past of the park as well as the adjoining Point Washington State Forest.

The beach is amazing and the campsites are mostly shaded. The park isn't very big but it's scenic.

Beautiful park and friendly staff! We are in the old loop, site #14 with the lake right behind us. It's secluded and private. I actually liked the old loop better than the new loop because it's wooded and private. The newer loop can fit bigger rigs though. The bathrooms are nice and clean. We haven't used the showers since we have full hook ups here. The beach is absolutely gorgeous!!! A little bit of a walk from the campground, but a very short drive if you are taking much with you. We have been to the 30-A area many times, it's always a treat!!

We camped here in our pop up for 3 nights right before New Years. We were in site 14 and it was pretty awesome. Not to far from the bath house and secluded from your neighbors. One down side is laundry for our loop was outside by the bath house and not accessible by car so you would have to carry everything by hand a bit. We would love to come back and stay longer and try for a site with lake access.

Neat, Flat, equipped, beach and lake!
We were in site25 (highly recommended). Not backing onto the water but looking straight down a short path to the lake.
Careful when picking a site in Summer, you will need shade! Our site was perfect.
Sites are all level, well maintained, equipped with table, fire ring, washing line posts, elec, water & sewer.
Activities.
Kayak or SUP can be done on the lake or the Gulf as the waves are fairly flat.
In Summer get out there early to avoid the crowds. The park opens to day visitors at 0800 and weekend tour guides take the paying snorkelers out to the reef around 1000.
-Highly recommend taking the SUP out to the turtle reef, it is 750ft out in line with the big yellow post markers to the right of the state park bwach boardwalk entrance. Found plenty of fish and sand dollars. 15-20ft deep.
-Consider visiting Seaside (Truman Show) for food trucks and the architecture. Very Touristy and expensive. Don't go to the beach there, it'll cost over 100 bucks for a chair and umbrella. Why bother when Grayton is better anyway. 👍
Take your bikes if you have them so you can ride to the cute stores Brewpub and ice creamery in the nearby Grayton village.

This place stays booked out a year in advance for a reason. Small, private and cozy campsites. Some will be a tight for your big RV so ask in advance if the staff thinks there will be an issue. Pretty trails. Beautiful sunrises over the lake. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards. Beach access.
