I went for dinner with some folks who are evidently not dessert people so that's it for time spent with them anyway I was in need of a sweet treat and this place hit the SPOT. The space is beautiful, the people at the counter were very nice about my pacing creepily around trying to decide on what flavor to get. I settled on mint chip and buttered pecan, both were excellent, perfection, fairly priced. The pecan had a great salt to it that balanced it beautifully and it came in a sweet vanilla waffle cone with this helpful drip prevention thing. I'll be back for their coconut ice cream which looked gorgeous, as did their taro, and I've heard the green tea is amazing.

3 scoops for $10, which is a fair price. Though the staff didn't give good attitude. It was a clean space with some window seats. There were lots of Asian inspired flavors! Will come again to try the other ones.

Amazing unique Asian flavors such as taro, red bean, black sesame, green tea, and more. Very friendly and let me try a couple flavors before settling on red bean and taro and black sesame. Would highly recommend.

One of my favorite places I love ice cream, and sometimes it is more common in the city to find Gelatto or sorbet, but if you like classic ice cream this is the place, they also have non dairy options.

Amazing ice cream flavor. The Taro flavor here hit just like home. I used to eat a brand of taro Mochi ice cream(Kowloon dairy) in Hong Kong and the flavor of taro flavor ice cream taste exactly like it. They also have a lot of nice flavor like Thai tea and sesame which is really good.

Ice cream is more on the sticky side. Once that you can chew without freezing your mouth. I would drive 30 min just to go into the city for this. Closes at 10pm

Fantastic ice cream. I had pistachio & almond single scoop. It was huge, slightly chewy, subtly flavoured, and delicious. Lots of Asian, interesting and traditional flavours. My favourite NYC ice cream by far.

I had begun to give up my search for the best ice cream in NYC when I happened to see Sundaes and Cones on my way back from a nearby restaurant. The interior is designed like a modern take on the traditional ice cream parlor setup. There are a few seats to sit down both inside the shop.

The top two things I look for in ice cream are 1) flavor infused (not vanilla + mix-in) and 2) creaminess. Sundaes and Cones delivered on both of these criteria! I got a single scoop of taro ($6.30), and I was also pleasantly surprised this was taro (not ube)! If you like firmer ice cream, you probably won't appreciate the consistency as much as I did.

My one reservation with this shop is the price point. I went back and forth on whether or not to dock a star because $6 for a single scoop without toppings is very pricey. That being said, when I go back, I need to see if they accept cash, because I'm pretty sure there was a credit card fee (price on menu is about $5.50 for single scoop). I will definitely be back to try the other flavors, and I will update the review accordingly. If you have the same ice cream criteria as me, then definitely add Sundaes and Cones to your list!
