Joe Madere Marsh board walk was by far my favorite place for birding. I have been there at EVERY opportunity and have hundreds of awesome pictures. After a drought years ago, marsh "weeds" have TOTALLY taken over. You can’t even see the water the weeds have grown up around and over the boardwalk, leaving little room to walk without brushing them. I hope that someday it will be cleaned up. 🙏

Pretty little stop, but not much to see in a dry June. The boardwalk is only several hundred feet long.

As of 5/13/22, the Madere Marsh Boardwalk is still closed, as it is in a state of disrepair since the hurricane. When open, it’s a short boardwalk that offers a nice view of the marsh. To my knowledge, the canoe launch is open, but the water around it is choked with vegetation and difficult to paddle through. Still, really great views of the marsh from here!

Very very short, like 30 seconds of walking. But there's an observation deck at the end with a gorgeous open view of nature.

Easy, short, beautiful. Not the best view, but a nice short walk.

Short but not lacking in quality. Saw and heard more king rails than anywhere I've ever been! Many other bird species too. Take a scope and/or at least binoculars.
