Herschel Car Park

The carpark is locked overnight, fine. It opens some time between 6.30 and 7am. I made the mistake of parking between these times and got charged for daytime parking AND overnight parking. I wrote to Slough council and the "Senior" parking officer (how many parking officers do they need?) said yes that's right, if you arrive in the morning when it opens you'll be charged the overnight rate plus the daytime rate. I doubt this is legally sound - my suggestion that in the name of fairness they change the billing algo was ignored.

Poor signage . Had to ask how to get out and lifts not working…interesting we don’t get a reduction in parking fees when the facilities are below par. However was clean and tidy

Well lit, clean (with no pee stink), freshly painted, and I'm lead to believe, manned. Sadly closed after 10:00pm and not open again until 7:00 am. A workin lift is also available. It's a 10 minute walk to the train station but just 3 mins to the high street. If you need a car park in Slough this might be the one.

Probably the worst car park in Slough. There are no exit signs. Unless you know the car park you’ll get lost. There's only entrance on the lower grounds which means you have to walk where cars are driving. Not safe!

Once you realise the exit is on level 3 and that levels aren't numbered and sign posting for pedestrians and drivers is all but non existent it is ok. Designed to make life as difficult as it can, including locking several stairs as fire escapes but not signing where to go. We can afford to paint each level a different colour but not to number them, then we'll make the lift stop at only even numbers to make you guess some more, with no link between colours and level numbers. Ridiculous.

One of my regular car parks in slough. Reasonable tariffs.. lots of parking spaces .. better option for longer stays. There are provisions for EV charging.. I have used this car park for almost 10 months and I never had any issues in here. This is one of my best parking spaces when I go to slough town centre. This is very closely connected to the Slough town centre, only a few minutes away from the shopping centre.

Pointlessly locked at night, trapping your car inside - which is clearly signed all over the place. What isn’t clearly signed or mentioned is that you will not have access to the vehicle either - all entrances are locked, completely cutting you off.

There is no reason for this car park to be locked at night, I’ve read other reviews stating that security guards come and check the car park frequently, so what is the point of locking it?
