Closing right on close time is one thing, closing early is just frustrating. Arrived there to pick up something very specific I had scouted out at 5.22pm and found the door locked and lights being turned off. Second time that’s happened! I can’t get there much earlier due to work.

love this place. Get the cutest beanie bear and a lot of choice for furniture, cookware and clothes.

This is one of my spots to go and have a little window shop when I don’t have anything else to do. Always a great selection of clothes, books, and other little Knick knacks. Worth making the journey down Parramatta Road for I’d say.

I shop at many salvos store on a regular basis. This one at Leichhardt is by far the most pleasant experience. The store is in an older building but is clean and well stocked with a nice simple layout, and staff have a great vibe (I probably spend more because of how enjoyable the shopping experience is!).
The store layout has a simpler and more open feel than other stores nearby such as Marrickville where the experience often has a bit of a sterile retail shop feel as opposed to a friendly local feel like Leichhardt.
The items are sorted into basic sections, as opposed to specific tag sizes like I've noticed elsewhere makes shopping easier because having many brands and styles under the one roof means the true size is often vastly different between brands, so the extra sorting in other stores actually makes the customer experience worse in my experience.
It's also nice that there is a mix of higher end fashion at reasonable prices where the profits go to charity, as well as cheaper items that often help those in need in a more direct manner.
Keep up the great work guys and girls!

The good: helpful staff & pleasant to deal with. Clothing sorted by style ( skirt, dress etc) and sizes. Massive amount of kitchenware including china, glassware, plastic warehouse, cooking utensils and most of it sorted individually by colour. They had a markdown rack with 50% off blue tags. 3 changerooms to use. Quite a large store that is utilising its space well.
Plenty of books, videos & even some records to look through.
The bad : someone needs to go through the clothing racks as it's evident nothing ever gets sorted and while they are labelled as sizes, it's a mish mash of style, sizing the lot. The only space that seemed well looked after was the boutique part. The pricing still gets me, not as bad as vinnies, but still not comparable with the items they price

Parking is a nightmare to get to this Salvos store. The selection isn't great and prices higher than other Salvos such as Lidcombe. I've spent at least an hour trawling through the items here and literally walked away empty handed which is super unusual.

Best Salvos store in Sydney for clothes and LPs and CD s and kitchenalia etc etc.
Such a treat to come here and buy whatever your heart desires because it's so inexpensive , is centrally located and has easy parking. I love it.
