Seal Beach Municipal Pier

Netter Spot zum Relaxen, Surfer schauen oder Angeln. Und dann habe ich auch noch nie ein Pier mit eigener Polizeistation gesehen.

Less crowded on a Tuesday afternoon and most shops were opened. I didn’t want to pay for the parking nearby the beach so I parked my car in Seal Beach Center to get my massage at Yongping’s Massage & Spa and then walked towards Main Street, stopped by Red Car Museum on Electric Avenue and the Seal Beach Municipal Pier. The old town neighborhood was quiet and it was so nice to sense the breeze of ocean.

We love this stretch of beach. There isn't as much excitement or infrastructure right on the beach like the bigger beaches but the pier goes out a fair distance and you have a good view of the Long Beach and the Queen Mary.

Even if I visit after a long time, the sea is always there to welcome me. The sea breeze, the sound of the waves, and the white crashing waves recharge my tired body and mind.

This is a nice pier for fishing local species of fish like mackerel, croaker, perch, bass, rays, and leopard sharks. They have well maintained restrooms under the start of the pier by the parking lots.

It's a wooden pier unlike the others in the area from Long Beach down to Huntington Beach. Being wood, it can get slippery early mornings from moisture, so be cautious.

While fishing, be careful not to drop small tackle like hooks and beads as there are openings in between the slats of wood.

The end of the pier is known for sharks and good size rays. The middle to end of pier is good for mackerel, and the shallows to middle pier is good for perch, croaker, and smaller rays and halibut.

Last night Seal hosted the annual Christmas tree lighting at Eisenhower Park next to the pier. It was a blast!!! With Snow, Sledding, Hot chocolate, Coffee, Gingerbread cookies, Cool stuff for the kiddos a Real Snowman and ofc, Santa🧑🏻‍🎄🎄🛷❄️🦭 It was a totally AMAZING night!! 🤙🏻🎄
