One of the better agency that I have worked with, it didn't start off that great, because of the stressors with the client I had at the time, but at the end everything worked itself out, it has been a real pleasure being a part of the caregivers.

My family has used Brightstar Care of Woodbury twice to provide assistance with our Mother. We were very satisfied with the quality of care and responsiveness of the management team who went the extra mile to ensure all our needs were met to make Mom feel comfortable. They deliver quality services with care and compassion. I would recommend Brightstar Care of Woodbury without hesitation.

I would definitely recommend BrightStar Care! I contracted with them for my surgical pickup and a few days of recovery. My original plans fell through at the last minute and Raj could not have been more helpful and accommodating in getting me the services I needed with very short notice. My schedule then also changed a few times over the course of the days that followed and each time Raj was very responsive and able to accommodate me. MaryKay was the nurse that contacted me first and she was an absolute delight. Just as caring and professional as you could hope for. I felt very, very comfortable discussing my situation with her and more importantly I felt heard by her. Desline was the first care agent assigned to me. She picked me up after my surgery and drove us safely to our destination. She was kind, warm, engaging, caring and very professional. I opted to recover short term at a nearby hotel due to the logistics of follow-up appointments that I had over the next few days and the need for handicap accessible facilities which I didn't have in my home. It worked out exceptionally well. However, as things can and do occur on the first night the hotel fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. Desline handled the emergency situation just beautifully. With the utmost care she ushered us both to the designated safe area. She remembered to take along my medications, purse, jacket, some extra clothing, car keys and a few other necessities. She did all this quickly, calmly and efficiently. In the end all worked out well and the fire department cleared our return to our room. Tip to anyone recovering in a hotel...ask for a handicap accessible room on the first floor. Which mine was NOT, making Desline's efforts all the more notable :-) As I was recovering for a few days (and my plans kept changing as I had noted above) I also had the pleasure of being cared for by Lisa, another wonderful, caring, engaging professional who I can't say enough nice things about and also Merlin who was also caring, attentive, professional and engaging just as the others. Overall a wonderful experience.

Brightcare is one of the best agencies that I have used for my loved one. The aides are compassionate and go above and beyond their call of duty. They are more like a caring companion.
Besides being extremely satisfied with the home care services, my experience with the management team has been wonderful. They are accesible 24/7 and the level of professionalism is incredible. They did their best to accommodate all our needs. If we had an issue we were able.to speak to the Director (Raj Kale) directly who was amazing . He was polite, compassionate and completely hands on with our loved one's needs. He made us feel very comfortable and assured us of 5 star service and absolutely provided that.
Their billing was on.point and all queries were answered very patiently and clearly.
I.highly recommend brightstar. They truly are the brightest star in.the home care universe.

I am writing this post as a review for anyone using a homecare agency to provide care for a loved one....Be very careful in what agency you contract with. I have used BRIGHTSTAR WOODBURY here on Long Island for almost 3 years. At first they were very supportive with staff whom connected with my loved one in a positive manner. Over the past year, there has been a steady decline in the quality of staff provided, communication with their office and many billing issues where staff filed false time sheets stating they worked more hours than they actually did. (while resolved, I should not have to deal with issues such as this.) There have been instances where my loved one was left alone because the aide took a cigarette break. Another aide told me his job was to observe anytime I encouraged him to interact with my loved one. Attempts to resolve some issues with their office were unsuccessful. I have since found a new agency that better meets my needs at a lower rate.

I used BrightStar for my mom only briefly before she passed away. Although hourly rates were a few dollars more than another agency I used initially, customer service was excellent and the aide they sent was competent. I would recommend this agency.

BrightStar is a wonderful company to work for. All of the caregivers are so compassionate and caring about their clients. They will do anything to make sure the client has what they need at all times.
