Balmoral Surgery

Dr. Hughes has a terrible attitude towards his patients, and on a whole is one of the worst and most bizarrely passive-aggressive doctors I've had to deal with personally. This is a shame because the doctor who was here before was exactly the opposite, and helped me get onto basic anti-depressants.

On a mental health call to discuss this he badgered me and accused me of lying to him (???) over what I was told by another specialist that I have to see outside of the NHS. Frankly, people like Dr. Hughes are representative of why so many people with serious mental health conditions do not seek help from the NHS.

Completely unprofessional & profoundly unpleasant doctor who clearly doesn't understand how his treatment effects people.

My son was prescribed over the phone antibiotics for a b12 and vit d deficiency ,had to pay for private because this surgery just doesn't care
I personally have been a patient for two years asked for one emergency appointment in this time and was made feel like dirt by the doctor
No one has received decent care

Consultants and reception are great but there's someone here called Hughes who needs a muzzle.

Poor GP care. Poor attitude. Made to feel like a nuisance. Avoid.

Phone rings and rings now when you call, rings and rings and no answer, not sure why but in my opinion this surgery has changed a lot since Dr Hughes took over

Wanted to share my experience as you rarely seem to hear good reviews for GPs. I have found the receptionists are quick to answer and direct my call. I have been seen by a GP promptly and provided with person centred care have had a good experience overall

Excellent surgery. Phoned in relation to a problem with my toddler at 5.15pm, and was able to collect a prescription directly from the chemist at 5.45pm the same day. First class service, well done to all staff.
