Seafront The Esplanade Car Park

Not too expensive, can pay using app or cash at ticket machines, but was packed full as I used during kite festival.

Very big car park opposite the beach, hovercraft terminal and next to clarence pier.
Free parking for Disabled drivers. Only down side was the car was totally covered in sea spray/salt which i guess was probably from the hovercraft.

Nice seafront with viewing area to see hovercraft arrive and depart, a good selection of ice cream stalls and the usual Seafront Arcades

Decent size, quite expensive, usually packed, however it is close to the promenade and Clarence Pier.

Big carpark right by the pier. Easy to find.
Sections of the carpark were flooded.
Parking ticket machine failed at first use and after "processing the payment" for good 3 mins, eventually "cancelled the ticket". Second attempt to obtain a parking ticket went through. My bank statement showed that two sets of identical payments were taken, and failed payment wasn't refunded.
Expensive parking charge, even more so when charged double! I won't park there again.

Quite a spacious car park with reasonably sized bays, but annoyed to later find out that on-street parking at the promenade is free after 24 hours and I had unnecessarily paid at the car park. Close to the promenade with the spinnaker tower in the far distance.

Excellent large car park right opposite the toilets and hovercraft terminal. Fun fair, ice cream and fish and chips kiosks within 50 metres. Reasonably good stretch of beach but shingle, no sand. Very good view of Portsmouth harbour entrance with a huge variety of ships constantly passing within 100 meters.
