A great place to go back to history and immerse in the glorious past. The exhibits are priceless. It's quite big so need a lot of time to see everything. The restaurant was quite cool too.

Great Chinese history back to a few thousand years, so amazing words can hardly describe, you have to see it to believe it, calligraphy, handicraft and more..... All are well presented. One of the best history collections in the world, I strongly recommended and it's a must visit attraction.

Great place to visit, you can easily spend couple of hours there, lots to see. There is no need to book tickets in advance, no queue for walk ins. There is a nice little garden in the back.

you can take bus no R30 from shilin station, it drop right before the entrance inside. If you are student in taiwan, you can enter for free, it's big place, there 3 floors i think. There is also a Muslim prayer room after you exited from the display area, in B1, and there is ablution place inside.
You can go outside and get a good view from above.

Great museum with lots of artifacts and history of Taiwan. A great place to visit and learn. The overall area is beautiful and they have a nice garden and pond area to walk at. Went on a Saturday so it was a bit busy just be prepared of you plan on a weekend visit.

Third time to Taiwan. This is a must! Lots of history preserved here and very well exhibited! Pottery, manuscripts, maps. So much to see. Take the better part of a day to explore then spend some time in the gardens!

This museum is definitely in the top three that I have ever been to. I arrived just after opening on a weekday. No line. Purchased my ticket, rented an audio headset, and walked in. Workers were very friendly and helpful. It was suggested that I begin on the top floor and work my way down. The museum is very spacious, clean, well organized, with exhibits divided by time periods and categories with sone interactive displays. I would definitely recommend this museum as it was one of my highlights visiting Taipei.
