We were told that the best part of New Orleans is the music. We came here because they had a free cover band. The band was amazing. They played a ton of hits and threw in some line dances. I am glad we came here. The place is crowded and they serve plenty of drinks.

Great place to hear live music. The reggae was the best of the night. Waitress/waiter were very prompt and helpful. Definitely need to start or end your night there. The only draw backs. Seating was a premium due to needing the space for dance floor. (You should find yourself in no time getting up and dancing anyway). Other down side was waiting for the restroom, not something they really have control over. Definitely a place that the atmosphere and staff make you feel welcome. Drink prices were average for other bars in the area.
Cafe Negril is an all around great place! The live music was the best on all of Frenchman and the vibe of the bar is amazing! I went back to this bar several times because the service was just top notch and never waited long to be served. Shout out to Sam and April, these ladies are wonderful and they made my visit to New Orleans memorable.
Easily best music on Frenchman, band was COOKING. Drinks were good and overall vibe was nice too.
Worst in Frenchman street, 16 dollar for the worst frozen pina colado in my life. Music not good, all other places around the street are much better. Go try other options
Visited this place my last night in New Orleans and had a wonderful time. The drinks were amazing and they had a live band, I cannot remember the name but the lead singer was amazing!! Definitely recommend this place!
We find Cafe Negril to be one of the coolest spots on Frenchman Street. They have really good food, a great selection of local beers and some of the best jazz you I have heard in the city. We like to buy a drink, sit back and experience some really nice entertainment in an air conditioned environment.
