different Mable for each steps, very special, however it would be cleaner.

Never knew about them and just basically stumbled on them due to roadworks. Interesting steps. The stairwell isn't well looked after, has graffiti and a bit dirty.

Lovely set of stairs, each made of a different material, but all evenly spaced for easy climbing.

Nice coloured marble steps from Market Street up to North Bridge. This can be a bit hit or miss on the cleanliness though due to it being accessed all 24 hours. Sometimes it's super clean and other times it can be a public toilet. Would love to see a council cleaner team go through every morning. Surprisingly, even though you are under cover while using the steps, it's not waterproof so steps can still be wet. Good views as you go up and from the top.

Both a wonderful set of stairs and also an incredibly efficient way of getting out of Edinburgh Waverley and onto the bridge.

There are 104 steps (I forgot to count them and spend ages after looking them up to find out) and they are made of marble imported from different parts of the world when they were refurbished in 2011. Originally build in 1899.

A lot of comments talk about them smelling of urine but I did not have this problem at all and having discovered them will always walk up them (and down) when in Edinburgh.

They shut at night - I think 11pm to 7am but am not 100% sure

Fantastic public toilet, would highly recommend. Each urinal is made of a different type of marble and the odour of urine just adds to the atmosphere. 5 stars.

Really pretty stairs with each step made of a different type of Marble. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this but it's nice all the same, used as a shortcut to get from North Bridge to Waverley Station.
