Not well maintained at this point. Cafe is like an abandoned building with broken panels. The plaque at the viewing point has been removed. But, it is still a good place to view sunsets.
This place was closed and hard to see the surrounding nature from the top of the mountain. Maybe it would have been a great scenery to watch if the tower was open. Also there are good view points on the way up. But there's no space to park and enjoy.

Black Mountain is now a disgrace. There isn't a sign that hasn't been defaced, the tower is closed and the parking lot looks like it has been used for drag racing. Telstra, ACT parks, somebody, should be ashamed of how this iconic landmark has been allowed to deteriorate. It could be used for the next Mad Max movie as a setting for a distopian future where civilization has fallen into ruins. Shame, shame.
I liked it, even though the tower is closed.
Cool place to take photos of Canberra. Worth visiting the Telstra tower if coming here.
Wish the tower was open. No real views since you can't go higher than the trees. Telstra really needs to do the renovations on the tower so us tourists can view that wonderful scenery again.
