Long Lines. I missed a connecting flight here because TSA and Customs took over 3 hours. Boarding closed and I had to wait another 12 hours for the next available flight.
There are plenty of charging stations but no cozy seats. All the chairs have metal arms that partition each.
Food court was extremely busy too, but the food was nothing to write about.

I've flown into this airport a few times. I've had good experiences. The place does get very busy and crowded.

No complaints here.

Extremely busy. Security had long lines but lines were moving fast. It seems they are renovating the terminals for lots of seats etc outside the gates have changed. Eager to see the new look. I was told that one terminal has completed renovations and check ins are automated and quick. As the population increases in NJ, it does need separate airports, national and international.

Haven't been to this airport in years, and quite a surprise this time around. Everything changed! First time around this year, I was confused with the parking signs, so second time around I went towards the terminals and found better parking. Parking decks are nice! Terminal C was pretty clean in the morning and at night. Unfortunately, hate that all the stores and restaurants are now inside, when we could have sat with people before they went through security. The tram is always fun!
For a busy international airport on a weekend, my experience was pretty good.
Check in could not be done by the kiosk, but lines were not too long. Security went smoothly - again, long lines but moving quickly.
Overall everyone is pleasant.
I recommend bringing an empty water bottle with you - after you pass the security, simply fill it with water and avoid exorbitant prices at restaurants.

New terminals are really good. I visited terminal A and had a wonderful experience. The old terminals, I'm sure need an upgrade. The terminal A is pretty big and spacious. There are lot of options for food, and enough toilets at every 20 metre.

There is even a kids play area at the end of the gates. The seating area near boarding is so good and updated. There is a wire free charger, redlines wooden chairs, modern chairs and carpets.

The air train takes you to terminal A but after reaching, they will take you through a short distance bus which is free. But hassle to reach as it is located at the end of all the terminals.

Newark Liberty Airport was a good experience. I took a cab from out of town so I would not have to deal with the hassle of figuring out where to go and where to park. It seemed well signed, but there was a lot of traffic on a Sunday afternoon, and I felt it was well worth the money. Inside the airport, I was able to proceed right to security because I checked in online and did not have checked baggage. It was about a half hour to get through security. It was reasonably organized. The staff were not overly friendly but that is more or less part for the course at any airport I've been to. My gate had changed from when I'd printed the tickets. It was two gates away so not a big deal. The seating in the terminal waiting area was very crowded. Some were sitting in the main corridor on the floor. I also could barely hear any announcements for boarding calls. It's a good thing I read the update on the screen. This part could definitely be improved. Some gates seemed to have a louder or at least audible PA system. While awaiting my flight I was surprised that there were not more souvenirs available. Most shopping is for higher end jewelry, clothing etc, a few restaurants, and a few shops with some snacks. I also spotted Starbucks. The bathrooms were acceptably clean and i saw staff removing garbage. I wish the soap dispensers and paper towel dispensers were motion activated. Boarding itself was fine. The flight crew greeted us. I was able to locate my seat and stow my gear uneventfully. We had a delay waiting on the fuel. I got a text update but again poor PA on the plane. They may have said it but I could not hear it. The flight was fine.

Compared to JFK which is a nearby airport in NYC this was okay. I'd probably select JFK because getting there on public transportation is a lot easier. But all in all it was a good experience and I'd use that airport again.
