River Terrace Recreation Center

the park is very neglected and unattractive

beautiful and very well maintained. a client had their birthday shoot there using one of our flower walls.

Great place for a picnic, walk or biking. There are kids doing drills in the nearby playground. There are folks doing a family BBQ in the picnic area. There are people riding bikes or people going for a walk on the trails. And there are people throwing catch to their dog or taking them for a walk.
An excellent park and trail. Lots of trees. Free street parking. Next to the river, though there are shrubs blocking the view to the river.
Nice to go for a walk or spend a few hours with friends.

Great spot for many recreational event, including cooling down from a ride on the Anacostia River Walk Trail

Nice quiet safe atmosphere..I jogged ran along the path along the River from River Terrace to Anacostia park...most everyone was walking, walking dogs or riding bikes..all ages, gender and race- nice seeing that . Saw a group of 30 somethings and " mature adults" sectioned off a portion of the parking lot at Anacostia park hand dancing to smooth R&B playing the music at a respectable audio level. Very cool to see my hometown looking like a nice safe American city again.

Growing up here I cannot remember how beautiful this was and still is. Nice trails for hiking and such a beautiful river. Very family friendly and dog friendly as well.
