It's a great place for watching a show (and there are good shows here), but I don't understand why the drinks here were much more expensive than other bars in this area (same drink , same evening for example) and why the bartender was not nice to say the least and with full attitude. Again, not as I experienced at other bars in this area.
The guy at the front was much nicer than him. It's kinda of a basement and if there are other options I don't see a reason to come back here. I'll come back only if one of my friends is showing.

Playhouse is a place my friends and I used to go to but lately it has just become another "trendy" spot for what seems like tons of straight people to frequent, which really just alters the atmosphere of a space that's meant to be queer.
Honestly sometimes it feels like the only thing gay about this place is the DJ.

Jacob was amazing!!! His service and charm were top notch! The show was amazing and the drinks were pretty good but talking to Jacob at the bar made the drinks and night better!! Definitely catch a show and ask for Jacob and grab a drink!

DO NOT COME HERE. especially if you are a queer woman. the bar tender was EXTREMELY rude (see photo attached). I came to this establishment with a group of queer women on a friday night and we left feeling extremely belittled. extremely disappointing staff, do better. you people need to read some queer history and get off your extremely weird high horse. also, you dont accept mastercard?? it’s 2023, grow up and get a grip. treat your community better. do better. upsetting and unforgivable. this establishment is sick and whatever you stand for is not the message of gay love. sick.

Loved dancing here when they opened a few years ago. Now it’s VERY UNSAFE! Phone was pickpocketed. Reported it to bar staff and security and they didn’t assist! They said it’s expected and that this + drink spiking happens all the time! 🤮 Sadly, never coming back again!!
