My wife and I stumbled across this museum while on holiday in Melbourne today.

This beautiful building is open to the public, at no charge, allowing visitors to walk through amazing displays of Melbourne from the late 1800s to the present.

The vaults in the basement (where our gold was stored) are incredible. This building and museum have to be seen to be believed.

I highly recommend a visit. You will spend an hour or more looking at all the displays, and it will cost you nothing!

Pete.

Free entry. Takes about an hour to walk through. Wonderfully maintained and presented. You learn about how Melbourne was developed and grow through the years.

Are you getting married here soon? For the last half a decade, I've photographed tons of wedding ceremony here and finally I'm leaving a google review!

It's a true preservation of classic architecture, with stunning details here and there, from the grand staircase to the intricate moldings, every corner of this building is photo-worthy. It's the perfect backdrop for a classic, timeless wedding!

There are a few different sized room so whether you're having a small, intimate wedding or a larger one, they can help make it happen!

Oh, and let's not forget the building facade and the shadows cast by the structure around the stair / fence outside, these are yet another highlight and photo opportunity!

Whether you're shooting during the day or in the evening, you'll find that the building's exterior and shadows cast by it adds a unique touch to your photo!

If you wanna know more about some tips then hmu!

The Old Treasury Building in Melbourne is a historic landmark that is rich in history and well worth a visit. The building was impressive and well-preserved, with a lot of detail and intricate architecture. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, providing a wealth of information about the history of the building and the city. However, I felt that we didn't have enough time to fully explore the building and take in all it has to offer. The building is also home to a museum and art gallery which are worth visiting, but we couldn't see everything in one visit. The Old Treasury Building is a great way to learn about the history of Melbourne and Australia. If you're interested in history and architecture, I would highly recommend visiting the Old Treasury Building, but allow enough time to fully explore the building and its exhibits.
