Earl Bales Community Centre

Excellent amenities there to play table tennis. The only downside is a group of elitist old farts creating their own rules about who gets to play on taxpayer-funded tables. For example, they limit kids to only one table. Time limit for a session is 15 minutes and then you have to give up the table to the next in line. Same old dudes force everybody to switch tables at exactly :00, :15, :30 and :45 of every hour. Which is convenient, but unexpected when you only started playing at :09 and they try to kick you out at :15. I wish staff would enforce the rules a bit.

Love playing TT here. Also it has a very huge area with trails and ice skiing. Good and peaceful place to spend leisure time.

My seniors hiking group popped in here to have lunch. Definitely looks like a busy community center full of life.

Very nice and clean community centre. I go for a long walk then sit to rest there. Watch ping pong players, then continue my walk. It seems they have a lot of activities, especially for children. Check the city website. People are very friendly and washrooms are very clean.

This park is best for barbecue during summer ☀️ snowboarding and skiing ⛷️ during winter
