Can't rate this place high enough!! I've been going for close to 10 years and I've never been let down. A very large selection, all of which is simply delicious. It's so hard to find Japanese food other than sushi around here. Of course, their sushi is incredible as well. I just went a few days ago and am thinking of all the things I want to order next. I love the quiet traditional seating area.
Two things I almost always have to get are agedashi tofu to start and red bean ice cream to end!

I tried this Japanese food here for the first time, and the food was so good. I tried the lunch combo, which included tempura, sushi, rice, soup, and salad, and it was filling for one person. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere there was also good. I still miss the Japanese ambiance, but I absolutely love it and will definitely visit again someday. The location is on central Omaha, at the intersection of Dodge and 72nd, making it easily accessible. The price is also reasonable.

One of our favorite places to eat, it’s a regular family outing! All positive- only negative is having TV screens everywhere. We’re just not great at blocking them out.
I love the carrot ginger salad dressing & Nebraska roll (I’m allergic to seafood and do enjoy their many non seafood dishes).

We really enjoyed everything about this place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and good quality. Atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this place and we'll definitely be back as often as we can. So far the best sushi we've had in Omaha. We ordered a sushi combo off the main menu and the sushi menu and loved everything. The presentation was beautiful. We got salads and couldn't decide on the dressing so our server brought us small dishes with each kind and both were delicious. Even the bathroom was clean and smelled nice.

Stopped in for lunch with a co-worker to check it out as neither of us had been here. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Clean looking restaurant. Ordered one of the bento style lunches. Food was good and arrived quickly. Definitely recommend stopping in if you have a chance.

Omaha, NE. I’m Japanese and my husband and baby daughter learned to love Japanese food at Sushi Ichiban (the predecessor to Sakura Bana) 30 years ago. My daughter instantly loved their miso soup and chicken teriyaki. We moved away in 1994 but imagine our joy at finding this restaurant here 30 years later.

We had the Nabeyaki udon and my husband had the same bento he always had: chicken teriyaki with tempura shrimp and California roll. What a treat.

We visited Sakura Bana for the first time and learnt they were the first sushi bar in Omaha, although their name was different back when they opened. Their sushi tasted absolutely delicious and the ambience was nice as well. The restaurant is a little expensive than most other sushi places in Omaha, but it does not disappoint.
