Fairway Park Apartments

Attended a walkthrough at Fairway Park. I enjoyed my experience. The consultant Vonda McClary was knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all my questions. The two bedroom apartments are spacious with cherry hardwood floors . All amenities are up-to-date. Each unit comes with the washer and dryer.

The location is close to a bus line and there’s offstreet parking.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I have been having a really bad mouse infestation for about 2 years now to the point my unit failed inspection 4 times!! I have a 2 bedroom and it’s so bad that my son can’t even occupy his room. There is a new assistant property manager and she does whatever she want, I told her not to come into my unit to do a cleaning before inspection because why was that even needed, I have the cleanest home around 21st! and she came anyways and when I got home my floor was filled with a puddle of water because she let contractors into my home without my permission. My floors still have water damage and she had the audacity to never reply back nor get my floor fixed Ms. Lija! I have also gotten in contact with everyone in corporate and have been ignored. Literally by far the worst property I have ever lived in and the management is horrible I hate this complex! I’m still having mice running rampant and nothing is being done!

Fairway Park Apartments are nice, however the management team sucks…
I moved here September 2021 and the neighbors above me and her kids make so much noise over top of me it just don’t make no since. I reached out to Nicole who supposed to be the Vice President of the complex, she is very negligent went it comes to making sure that I am comfortable in my home especially when I am a new tenant. WCSmith alt to be a shame of themselves. Nothing has been done about this lady and her kids and how much noise they make over top of me, now the lady done brought a freakin dog so it’s more noise over top of me.This have been going on since March 2022 and nothing has happened. I have sent a plethora of emails about my horrible experience with my neighbors it’s so disrespectful. The lady told Nicole herself “O I can’t control me kids” and guess what she don’t. It’s horrible. I will be writing the corporate office about this and hope it reaches the right person other than Nicole obviously she doesn’t have time to handle this at all .

I’ve been living in this apartment complex for about a year and I must say my overall experience has been really positive. The apartment is small but does include stainless steel appliances, marble countertops and washer and dryer which is a huge plus. The staff is very professional and all of my maintenance request have been responded to relatively quickly. The only downside is parking can be somewhat difficult to find in the later part of the day and the apartment has no hall closet.

I have lived here for 3 years and I want to mention that maintainance is pretty quick unless it's the dryer that needs to be fixed, it took them 10 months to fix mine.
The main problem I have is that the walls and floors are very thin. Please please please if you are considering moving into this complex get a unit on the top floor. I’ve been woken up between 12 and 5 am by children running at all hours and residents walking around and stomping the floors. I have contacted the property manager, but she won't do anything about it except to tell me to move out of my apartment and go to a top floor. I agreed but then they said that I have to go through the same process that I went through 3 years ago of applying and getting qualified. My income has changed and they won't qualify me anymore so I can't even get transferred. This is a hard lesson learned, you should never be on the bottom floor in a cheap apartment complex. At least transfer tennants that have been living with you for 3 years and paying rent on time, without any other qualifications. The problem is the way the building was built, and if people are having issues, then the managers need to work with them and fix the issue rather than making things more difficult.

I have lived in this same apartment for over 7 years now. I have seen several leasing office staff come and go but the service has always been impeccable.
One of the most outstanding service they provide is the Maintenance Service, it sometimes take less than an hour after submitting a work order before some one shows up to fix what was reported.
I would like to commend the maintenance team especially Mr. Nigel for his very caring and attentive personality. It’s people like him that made this place home.

The apartments themselves are really nice. Hardwood floors, new washer/dryer, really nice appliances, etc. The pictures you see online are exactly how EVERY apartment looks. They are not huge but for the amenities and prices in DC -- it's worth it. The neighborhood itself is a little sketch. Carver Terrace is right next door and full of people you don't want to live next door to. That being said, the neighborhood could be way way way worse considering the people I've seen walking around.

If you have a car -- you might endure more annoyance because parking is sorta limited depending on your building. But once again, this is DC so what do you expect?

I haven't experienced any package stealing but I think that really depends on your building and could, frankly, happen anywhere. I primarily get my packages delivered to my office (thank goodness for that perk!) or tend to order things that will be delivered on Saturdays when I'm home.

The office staff is nice and you can easily pay your rent online which I love! Overall, if you're looking for an affordable place in DC, this is probably as good as it gets.
