Fish House Grill

We had a great time here. The seating is great as you are on the pier, even if it's windy a bit.

The host was great even when we told her they forgot the dressing on the bloody mary.
I had a blueberry mojito, which was generous in alcohol.

For food, we took bacon wrapped scallops as an entry.
After that, my wife took the lobster bisque, and it was great. I tried the linguini with white clam sauce, which was great to try for someone who is not a fan of clams.

All in all, a great dinner!

My family of 3 was so excited to visit this restaurant. My kids had never had lobster.
We were met by a friendly host... after this it went down hill. Our waitress Nadalee was honestly the worst we have had. She was rude and with flat affect. She was without smile and was monotoned. I would describe her as very curt. We saw other service staff smiling and laughing a couple stopped by our table to say hello. So we know it was not the atmosphere but our waitress. I watched and she was like this with the tables she waited on. It was an odd experience.
We ordered single lobster dinner. Presentation was beautiful! However lobster is not for us we learned - rubbery. But speaking to other people that is normal so I can not rate this fairly.
Corn on cob was soft/soggy
Potatoes were average
We also got chicken tenders and fries-were were average.
I thought the setting was beautiful and even though the food was not our favorite it was really this wait staff that ruined our dinner experience.
We paid and left to go to the Thirsty Whale right after. Disappointed but hopefully if you go you will get good service and you like lobster:)

I really enjoyed this meal! I had the New England Lobster bake with Lobster, Clams, mussels, corn and potatoes. Everything was fresh and tasty! We also enjoyed the fresh calamari and Bacon Wrapped Scallops with Maple. The blueberry pie and blueberry crumple were also great!

Staff was nice food was good. My husband had the lobster roll and fries. He liked it. I had the fish tacos. I ate one it was good but couldn’t eat the second. I prefer my fish fried with tarter sauce lol but the tacos weren’t bad just trying something new! Had the real ale, great beer.

I'm surprised that this place doesn't have higher reviews, and some of the 1 star reviews seem unnecessarily harsh. The food was absolutely amazing and a highlight of our day. We got the clam chowder, lobster bisque, chicken tenders (buffalo style), meat sandwich (kind of like a Philly Cheese Steak), and the blueberry pie. Honestly, this place helped me realize my love for clam chowder and I was told by my father that the lobster bisque was some of the best he'd ever had. My fiancé loved the sandwich (I stole a few bites and was impressed) as the meat wasn't dry, though, I would've liked a little more cheese or maybe some mayo. The fries were also very good. The best part for my group was the blueberry pie (I'm not big into sweets) with the blueberry icecream. Pricing was pretty on-par with the area, I think. We had a poor experience with lobster at a different restaurant the previous stop (also Maine) so we avoided ordering similar food. I will say that my only complaint was the staff, as they weren't necessarily friendly nor unfriendly, just sort of bland. But I suppose you go out to eat for the food, not the staff. The location was perfect, too - right next to the seaport to get back on our ship. Overall, if we visit again we'll definitely go back!

When you can’t have shellfish there are other options. this steak sandwich was delicious. Tagged along with fries that were fresh and crispy 🤤. I want it now thinking about it. The view was Phenomenal and nice. Great weather.

Food not good. Piles of chips covering most of the plate. No seasoning on the fish at all for the fish tacos and they put lettuce at the bottom of the taco under cooked fish which is a no-no for any hot food. That's cooking 101. Haddock sandwich was like a McDonald's fish filet. Calamari was small pieces and greasy. Chowder was good but needed lots of salt and pepper. Disappointed in the food. Manager did discount the check which is why I'm rating a 1+ because this was not worth it. I should have known when it was not crowded and other places were there must be something wrong. Will not be back and don't recommend.
