Fun way to pass time for a cheap price! Located in the downtown area, you Learn lots of new and interesting things. I was surprisingly much more happy with the exhibits than I expected. Thanks again!

This is a lot of museum for the low admission fee. There are loads of artifacts and you can walk right up to them, which makes it more interesting, although people with little kids had to monitor them around the old china. The setups showing homes through the last couple of centuries were particularly interesting, although the old businesses were my favorite. Some displays glorified lavish fortunes and the strange things millionaires bought, but the museum is clear-eyed about the Chicago gangsters that spent lots of time visiting around the 1930s and 1940s. I look forward to them someday expanding the little display about a nearby majority-Black community and the local tribes' experience, and i would have enjoyed a little more content about how D&D came about. And the scary-looking hair curling machine in the ladies' room--yikes! Overall, it's worth a visit!

Wonderful museum with so much history on Lake Geneva, beautiful displays, put together so well that you feel like you are traveling through time. The new D&D exhibit will delight D&D fans / players. Gift shop on site.

I love this museum, and being able to slip into the past for a time. I was however there for the newest exhibit about one E. Gary Gygax, The Wizard of Lake Geneva. It was truly a beautiful thing to see in the area as games are always what brought me to Lake Geneva. The collection is full of classic titles made just up the street and have since changed the world a few times over. I couldn't recommend it more for just about anyone and everyone.

We went on a Monday in November the week of Thanksgiving. There wasn’t that much of traffic inside the museum. This was their 5th year of doing “The Festival of Trees” for Christmas, different places around/in Lake Geneva decorated up a Christmas tree for the public to vote on which one is most liked. If you are crunched on time I recommend skipping the first half of the museum and heading straight to the back, that is where you will find the history of Lake Geneva, they also have a room dedicated to the military with items from different wars. It’s family friendly and the price was decent. They offer free admission for veterans and active duty military with their family. And discounted pricing for students.

Absolutely fell in love with this place. It's pretty small and takes an hour if that is to see all the exhibits, but there's so much history it's very awesome to see. If you're staying in Lake Geneva, it's a great place to stop. Price is very reasonable 12 for adults and kids under 12 are free. Also, parking in the back of the building.

The Lake Geneva Museum is stepping back into time. The museum brings to life Lake Geneva and life in time. Models in authentic period clothing, small details: tools, food, home decor, military and more. I have walked this tour a few times and always see something new. The curator spent much time keeping the authenticity of the location and the different time periods. This is a wonderful, educational journey. Enjoy!
