I work in HR for a footwear brand/organization in the NYC area. We worked with BCakeNY to cater dessert for one of our FFANY Market days and received raving reviews from our employees and clients! Everything was delicious from the cookies to mini cupcakes to cake push-pops! So unique - and a ton of fun. It was very easy working with the BCakeNY team - Kate in specific. Will definitely return to them for another event we hold!

Let’s start by saying the cakes are horrible. They’re known for their beautiful designs but the taste is lacking. The chocolate cupcakes taste like nothing, no flavor no moistness and the buttercream taste like butter. The strawberry cake used to be the best flavor they had now it’s just as lacking as the other flavors. Put more work into creating tasty cakes and cupcakes. The prices charged isn’t worth the taste quality. If the cakes were delicious and set apart from other bakeries then I wouldn’t mind spending the money for good cake. Everyone isn’t lying when they say the cakes are dry and lacking flavor. Listen to your customers

We stopped here for the first time back in July and although the person that checked us out wasn’t friendly we adored the cake jars. We traveled to NY again from the west coast and went out of our way to stop here again. Same unfriendly service, but this time the vanilla and strawberry cake jars were super dry and the frosting tasted like a thick stick of butter. I guess we dismissed the poor customer service back in July because the cake was bomb, but this time nope—dry cake plus unfriendly service just isn’t a good mix. It made us ask ourselves, “are the regular cake jar flavors pre-made and then frozen?” Honestly, not sure, but the quality was different. If you do choose to go there, perhaps stick with their seasonal flavors for freshness. We also bought cookies but they were super hard. It was a bummer, because I talked up this spot to my guests and was let down by the experience and products. Not sure if today was just an “off day” which is understandable and definitely happens, but I’m not sure if I’d personally recommend this spot to other travelers but for me personally, this spot is off of my list of places to go when I visit the east coast.

I can somewhat accept subpar service, if I didn’t I wouldn’t have gone back — but the rushing through menu items as if it isn’t someone’s first time coming in, seeming bothered to explain, annoyed that customers walked in isn’t cool. On the flip side I understand people have rough days (however both times is a little too much data for me to ignore though) Overall, bad service plus a bad product just isn’t a good mix. We threw all the products away.

I ordered a cake from the gallery pics and asked for a custom color. I cake came out absolutely beautiful and flawless. The cake was also very delicious. I have to say customer service was really awesome and welcoming into the production kitchen where everyone was busy creating some amazing cakes as I got to see while there. I traveled three hours with the cake and it held up great. My client also didn’t get around to cutting into the cake until the next day so it sat out in a cool place and was perfect when cut into. She was extremely complementary on how beautiful and tasty it was! Awesome and thank you for all your hard work!

Ill start with the positives:

1. Easy online ordering process. Very simple process.

2. Great customer service. They were so friendly when I called to confirm the order and when I came to pick up the order

3. Timely/Professional pick up service. The order was ready when it was scheduled and I had no issues on their behalf.

I actually messed up and only ordered a dozen by accident and they had the same flavor readily available for purchase the day of pick up. This was extremely helpful.

Now the cons:

1. They tasted just okay. If I had one word to describe them it would be edible. There wasn’t much moisture, a little dry with no mouth watering effect.

2. Very pricey. Almost $70 for a dozen cupcakes isn’t affordable. This is why I thought I ordered more cupcakes. In total I spent almost $200 for birthday cupcakes.

3. The appearance of the store is messy. I didn’t know what I was walking into but they look like they were working hard.

I was glad to try this place out, it came recommended from someone I know but I won’t be back mainly for the taste. Considering the price, I want to be wowed.

I’m speechless I stumbled upon this gem heaven on earth from searching Google for a birthday cake for my daughter first birthday… I can’t believe how lucky and blessed I was finding this place by accident … Amazjng job on her cake is an understatement! And in my opinion there prices are extremely reasonable especially for the 5 star quality that you will be getting ! This place made my day and almost made me cry in a good eat when I saw my daughters cake
