I usually don't review places that I love this much for fear that it will become overcrowded in time. But I also don't want this place to ever go out of business. Well, not the best Tibetan restaurant I've been to, it is very good, especially for the cost. A great addition to the neighborhood. The portions are adequate enough to leave satisfied, but if you're extremely hungry, you'll want some appetizers. Parking in the neighborhood is okay and it's literally next to the Q train. A true find and a hole in the wall that you'll walk by a few times before you realize it's there. Seating is limited and not recommended for large parties.

The servers are pleasant, but they should warn typical Americans expectations that the appetizers don't always come before the meal due to the cooking time.

Last I ordered The Mango Chicken, which was excellent and the vegan momos which weren't as flavorful as I would have hoped. The chili dishes are excellent.

Fantastic experiences at Cafe Tibet! Get their Mango fried rice! And their soup dumplings! Their delicious 😋 if you're looking to try Tibetan food for the first time this is the place for you! It's super casual and super cute ambiance. Right next to the Cortelyu metro station. Has cute outdoor seating too. The only problem is there isn't a bathroom and their stuff is a bit pricey for the portion sizes which are definitely on the smaller size. Otherwise I love this place and am looking forward to be back ☺️

Cash only spot and prices are great considering what you get. Food is delicious but takes a while and there was no ac so it was a little uncomfortable. I got chicken thali and it was very good. The beef momos were also pretty good. All in all I would come back and try other dishes.

Next to a train station this spot is great for quick bites, take outs, offers vegetarian options, but prepare to pay cash only. This place has Buddhist attributes on the walls, and gives you a sense atmosphere of Tibet. I would suggest to try Thalli with meat or vegetarian option. Another popular dish here is Momo which is made with meat or veggies. Asking about a spicy level of a dish might be necessary for those who like me not a spiciness lover. Enjoy this traditional Tibetan cuisine!

Cash only.

Wow, this place is delicious and the service is excellent. First time I've had Tibetan food, and this place has made me a fan. I was looking forward to coming back right after my first visit.

I'm currently working in this neighborhood and have tried over a dozen of the local restaurants, and this one is my favorite.

Prices are very fair. Typically, lunch/dinner is $15

I have been here so many times in the past 10 years. Finally, I am writing a review. I tend to get the same dishes every time because they are consistently good. My go-to dishes are lamb Thali, pork chili, and momo. We tried fried momo this time and the fried version was perfect with the crispy texture.

The service here is very friendly but slow. But once your food arrives at your table, your hanger will be gone within the first bite. So it is worth the wait but best to go there when you are not so hungry.

Updated (03/05/23): this is still my favorite spot for Himalayan restaurant in the neighborhood. I just cannot help it to order lamb Thali again. So delish!
