🚨 🚩 RED FLAG 🚩 HIGHLY UNETHICAL 🚨 USES PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR MARKETING PURPOSES WITHOUT CONSENT 🚨
Based on the numerous 1 star reviews and the many unethical accounts, people should really consider filing complaints with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC;

My experience:
I was introduced to WomenMD and Dr. Gooderham via a NONPROFIT Group that my primary care provider set me up with. She was one of the zoom instructors. She then used my personal information without my consent to promote her private practice business. I would not trust her with your information or health. She also seemed highly unqualified to be teaching the class I took. I genuinely feel now after my whole experience with her that she was just doing it to gain access to vulnerable folks yo promote her wellness business agenda. My experience below:
First red flag was she didn’t enter her name where you’re supposed to on zoom, only her FOR PROFIT business title. The first session we had she was in a remote area with no internet connection. You’d think you’d prioritize an internet connection when you’ve committed to reaching an online course. She made excuses. Furthermore she was a poor teacher. Her classes were not engaging at all, she was mundane and didn’t seem to care. Half the class was the participants talking, she did not feel them in when they went on tangeants that had nothing to do with the material. She did not teach, she just listened to people talk and then spewed a line or two from the work book. I tried reaching out to her and explaining my experience but there was no acknowledgement or changes in class style. I ended up swallowing the $65 deposit because I’d rather loose the money than sit through these painful classes I had missed work for. Then I started receiving spam marketing emails from her business. I never consented for her to take and use my information that I had registered through a non profit. Soooo unethical. When I requested for her to remove me from her mailing list and explained I never consented to her using my information she never responded and the emails continued.
🚩 RED FLAGS ALL AROUND 🚩
I get the vibe she volunteered her time with this non profit to gain access to a list of people she could eventual sell her products to.

The doctor made an appointment with them for a Pap test. They booked me a month later at 7:30 p.m. When I came and waited for the doctor, she said that I could do this test at home, I said, I came and I can do it here now, but she said no, it’s better to do it yourself at home. I spent time waiting, spent gasoline, arrived, paid for a nanny for two children while I was not at home, and upon arrival I heard this website, go there and order a test at home. People go to doctors when they are almost dead, otherwise in order not to die they can find out earlier! they just don’t want to work, the hours go by and they start collecting money.

I waited about a month to get an appointment with the doctor at this clinic. I had many questions as I am starting to experience perimenopause symptoms when she finally came in I had about six minutes felt extremely rushed and definitely felt like a number. There was no time given for the information I was hoping for. I would never go back.

I’ve waited 4 months for an intake appointment and they claimed they didn’t get it the referral my GP submitted. They did. They just rejected it outright because it didn’t include my email address and they didn’t even bother to notify my GP’s office. I haven’t even gotten an appointment and they’ve already destroyed any confidence in their service. I’ll stick with the hack that I call my GP and hope for the best.

Horrible. The doctor will carelessly hurt you and try to sell you on her mindfulness course while she’s doing it. Very bad experience.

I was referred to WomenMD by my GP. I registered for one of the courses, based on my schedule. Weeks before the start of the course, I received a call from the instructor talking me into registering for another course. Paying $170 for two courses was out of my budget but I still did it. The other course started soon and I attended one session only, as I wasn't able to attend the rest. They reimbursed me for half of the price of the course. I was then hospitalized for three weeks not being able to attend the course. I requested a refund. They replied that since the request is less than two weeks, it can not be done but I can choose a different course to replace it. After carefully considering all the upcoming courses, I picked one. They let me know that it was canceled and it is not offered until the next fall, which I will be out of the country. I had a LONG discussion with the secretary, explaining my situation. She discussed it with the instructor, she came back with the same answer. I lost $127.5 for absolutely nothing!

Thank you for running a menopause class. Information that is not always easy to find and sharing it with humor made the class a comfortable environment.
