Required warm clothes as it is very cold inside. Cool VR experience integrated in the tour. Worth the visit. Some areas are really dark and the light flickers on and off so sometimes it is really hard to see the fresco. The guide was an archeologist but she didn't know the difference between a centaur and a minotaur, that's why I took a star off.

A cool (literally and figuratively) tour with a guide inside an buried palace.
No crowds at all, an epic view inside and a chill temperature. I think it's must see in Rome
A guide talks a lot, don't book a tour in a foreign language 😅

Best tour in Rome, just behind the Colosseum. Online tickets bought in advance for a guided tour are the only way to get in. There is no ticket booth onsite.

Nice hidden attraction beside the colosseum
it is cold inside, likely to preserve the ruins.
we managed to use the VR which is nice.

take note to buy from official website, I saw a group got turned away because they bought from agent and they name not in the system

It was a great experience. The tour guide was excellent and provided very detailed information about the whole complex. The guided tour is around 60/70 mins. Just imagine you are able to walk in a nearly 2000 year old building (now underground), just breathtaking.
Our group waited in front of the entrance and was able to enter just a few minutes before the tour started. Before entering there is a short bag control, you aren't allowed to bring food inside and there is no storage. The sign for the entrance in the park is a bit misleading, the entrance is a little bit more up the path

Gabriele gave an amazing tour! 75 minutes was perfect. He is a great history teller. Thank you so much! We really enjoyed. Simba was also a great addition !

These tickets were hard to get on the squirrely official website, but totally worth it— the guided tour was fantastic, a young archeologist explaining all of the cultural history behind Nero and why he was so controversial. This open-oculus dome predates the pantheon by 40 years!! This was one of the best tours I’ve been on!
