Bought a second hand foamy surfboard and it was in wonderful condition and when I used it felt like a new surfboard. Wonderful service too.
A little slow in service but hey its a coastal surf shop what do you expect. However, once you have their attention they go over and beyond to provide service.

Have been to the shop multiple time,when google has said the shop is open just to find the shop closed every time.
Owner Mike is a scammer. Sold me a 85 kg limit macski but said it is 115 kg. Totally unusable for me but he doesn't want to refund.
Bought 2 bodyboards new for R1,000 each from 2nd Surf. Only used 1 6x but wanted to sell. Rang Mike - he asked what price we wanted. I suggested R500-600 as board was effectively new. He said - a bit high. When we got to Blaauberg shop, assistant sent pics to Mike. He then offered a miserly R200. I feel ripped off. Why not be up front about the price from the start?
So if you see my Reef 40 inch blue bodyboard on sale, you should definitely not be paying more than R400.

Mike has been very kind and effective in locating 2 second quality wetsuits (Gul and / Ripcurl) at the prices I could afford. Both fitted my son measuments that I sent him. He located them in Fishoek and brought them to Table view where my son was able to try them.
The assistant employee in Table view greatly helped with the trying providing enough time and plastic bags and drinking water, to facilitate the wetsuits fitting. Finally my son chose a new Aqualine suit for the same price.
As a mother, my experience of 2nd Surf shop is ideal. I hope to share more experience after my son has had a chance to swim with the suit in a few days, this is his first adult wetsuit.

My experience with using the given swimsuit was mostly positive. I am able to put it on without needing to use a plastic bag, unlike the other swimsuits I tried.
When I swim, I am not too cold, although water does enter through the neck. The same was true for my feet, because the zips don't stay closed, which lets water enter through the swimming shoes. Fortunately, It still doesn't make me too cold.
With regards to water entering the neck, I would appreciate finding a solution that will stop that.

When is the shop on Blouberg Road open? We have driven past a few times in the hope but all closed up and have tried to call but no answer.
