Nice and cozy african atmosphere. Excellent service. Gin cocktail was amazing - tasty and refreshing. The menu is very interesting with food from different regions.
We had the best night in Capetown at Mama Africa. We had no Reservation but were lucky enough go get a table. The food was very special for us but so good. The best about Mama Africa is the live music. We sat next to the band and had an amazing night including drum clans. Thank you so much, Mama Africa Team
Great food, great service, cool atmosphere, great music. My group almost tried everything on the menu and enjoyed every bite. Things tried that i would recommend: pap chips, mushrooms, wings, ox tails. Our server was so welcoming and attentive. She took the time to answer every question we had and didn’t rush our experience. The bad that night was amazing.
A "vibey" funky almost club-like atmosphere with an eccentric menu full of traditional dishes from around the African continent. Tasty food and drinks, a lovely lemon water hand wash and pleasant service are all much appreciated.

Perfect restaurant! They serve dishes from all over Africa. Some were good, some weren’t. But I think that’s just my ‘taste’. The vegan starter was delicious, the plantains as well! Also good cocktails and nice atmosphere! Very loud live music but we liked it! The waiters are also very kind and helpful! Would definitely recommend! 😊
A wonderful African restaurant on Long Street in downtown Cape Town. Great African atmosphere and food. I had satay crocodile for an appetizer and grilled eland steak for main course. Mom ate Cape Malay curry. We enjoyed all dishes, which were exotic for us Americans.
To top it off, the employees were all friendly and offered great service. A memorable final dinner in South Africa before we fly home tomorrow.
