Hiked this trail in September 2022. The beginning, walking around Emerald Lake and the end at the basin are both beautiful. What stops this trail from being great is you're in the woods for a large chunk of the hike, hidden from the view around you. You gain most of your climbing in two short spurts, and it's relatively reasonable the rest of the way. The trail branches off the back of Emerald Lake and is about 9-10km total. Good to do if you're in the area.

Great easy trail, beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. No issues with parking around 11 am. Enjoyed the trails, except for the mud on the side of the lake with little sunlight at the time. The lodge/estaurant has a restroom, but many porter potties available outside.

Spectacular hike. Avalanche zones, old growth cedars, glaciars, twin waterfalls and enormous mountains on all sides. A steep climb up for the first 750 m or so but then it levels out and becomes more rolling than straight up. You will pass through numerous micro climates in a relatively short period of time. Mountain hike at its best.
