AKEMI Japanese Restaurant

The food was delicious! The atmosphere was perfect for two friends to enjoy each other's company. We had great conversations as well as a wonderful meal.

I guess this place is for sushi. We got spider roll which tastes good but the rice is very loose and easily fall apart.
Ramen tasted like the frozen ramen bought from Asian market, served with raw spinach. Soup is as usual from a soup base but without enough water so it is too thick.
Black cod is not quite fresh with the fishy smell. Also served with raw spinach. 2 small pieces fish and charge for $28.
Not recommended.

It had been a while since while since I came to Akemi and some friends were feeling like a sushi night so I suggested this place. I’m so glad their food is still good as I remembered it and my favorite roll will always be their Evil Roll! So delicious we tried a variety of different and were happy with our choices.

Had a mixed experience here. The sweet shrimp quality is excellent. The okinawayaki is excessively oily and salty, exacerbated by the sauce. The black cod is alright, but the overdose of okinawayaki makes it a bit overwhelming. The karaage is good, but the overall discomfort caused by the excessive oil and salt, particularly in the okinawayaki, impacts the overall experience.

Incredible! Got the spicy Szechuan water boiled special with fish! 1 star spicy was plenty spicy and I usually have medium spice tolerance. Highly recommend!

Excellent ramen and sushi, a rare restaurant that can do both well. It's a nice date atmosphere

Well…Sushi in Safeway or even 99 ranch has a better taste than here. Sashimi is TERRIBLE (with this price). Ramen is no better than the instant noodles (see the “poached eggs”). Okonomiyaki is too salty. Will never come again.
