I've shopped it jet rag for years, there's a lot of selection, but you need to be pretty discerning. There's definitely a fair share of forever 21 and even Walmart brand clothes that you need to fish through for some really great finds. But there's an incredible amount of stock. You will pretty much always find something that you like, and the prices are pretty good when compared to Melrose and the surrounding area. This is great for costume or filmmaking.

As for the controversy, I'm white and have always had been asked to leave my bag at the front. I think that is super archaic, to worry so much about shoplifting, I don't know how bad are your margins really? You're buying bags and bags of dollar clothes, chill out with the shoplifter policing in my opinion. It's uninviting.

With all that said, there is a secret door. If you look at the shelves immediately to the left of the fitting rooms, there is a hinge on top of it. You can also see where on the floor it slides in and out. There is an old school gate latch holding it closed. It cannot be opened from the outside. It is right next to the fitting rooms. I don't know what's up with that personally, but when I asked the cashier if that was a secret door, in kind of a playful way because I think it's cool to have a secret door, she said and I quote "It is not a secret door, and it has never opened since the owner bought the building" So wait it's not a door, but it's never opened? What does that mean? I saw a light on the other side. And I'm talking this MF is right there by the fitting rooms. Something isn't right. I'm just saying if there were cameras looking at people in the fitting rooms or something, that's where they would be. And there's a secret door. Judge as you will, but here's a picture of the secret door. Go for yourself and look for the secret door. I've attached a photo of the secret door.

I have a genuine appreciation for this store; it's a true gem among vintage shops. Their selection is incredibly diverse, catering to a wide range of tastes and budgets. I find myself returning to this store on a weekly basis.

This store is particularly well-suited for travelers exploring Los Angeles. The variety and affordability of items make it a must-visit destination. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking unique finds and a pleasant shopping experience.

Came here to this thrift shop to check out what they had to offer and it is definitely worth a stop. Had a large selection of dress vests, sports coats, and jackets. Really large vintage collection in general. Think there is definitely a hidden gem in there for you if you can find it and the price is right. I would say overall the price was decent. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Be sure to check out both up and downstairs.

Is there such a thing as too much vintage? If volume is the goal, they've won. If you're looking for "the most" of something, this is it! Somehow though, too much can go from feeling excited for the dig, to tedium. Yes they've got vintage at somewhat affordable prices (unless it's really really cute!) but I can't say it feels exciting to go hunting for that special thing. There's just so much of it.
