Paid $7.50 for this large ice coffee. As you can see, it is barely half filled. The shop lady said that the reason for this is because the coffee is extra strong and it has to be melted down with the ice. And that she shakes it to create the foam to make it extra creamy?

It does not really make sense to me, what if I want to drink the coffee right now and not wait an hour for all the ice to melt?

No hate but the Bahn MI was very average. There is this strange aftertaste like detergent or old tablecloth and the meats didn't taste the freshest unfortunately.

One of my favourite Vietnamese cafés in Sydney, serving authentic and yummy food. Trust me it's good and I'm a good Vietnamese cook myself. Lovely customer service too and it has 30min parking out front. I always find a space.... Worth a drive by and I live in north Sydney too!!! I will always drive here for my banh mi fix, always hits the spot. Well done

This place is a 10/10! The chicken bahn mi was unreal and the portion sizes were big. I got the Vietnamese iced coffee as well and it was delicious! Definitely will come here again, awesome little hidden away spot close to south Eveleigh. The man behind the counter was super sweet and friendly as well!

Good taste, a little light on the fillings but maybe I've been spoiled with my local. Good location, super friendly staff.... Worth a visit.

Ok guys so I’m a Banh Mi Boi from way back. Back when the only notable Banh Mi shop was Hong Ha Bakery in Mascot and probably a handful in Cabra.

Anyhow, being back in Sydney I’m pleased to see a lot of new Banh Mi Bangas opened up and always keen to try them all out.

Lit Canteen 🔥 has been reviewed but hey I’m giving my version of appreciation.

Firstly the owner is a cool Viet dude who was preparing brisket cheeks whilst we chatted on Banh Mi. He makes his own sauces including a ripper chilli paste. Their Mayo, Fish Sauce and Hoisin Sauce are self-made and taste just like that…fresh and uniquely tasty. Oh and they also do their own pate!

There is a lot to choose from including, classic cold pork cuts, crackling roast pork, bbq pork, beef brisket and fried chicken lemongrass chick and and brine chicken, with vegan options too. The shop does also do vermicellis, Vietnamese rice paper rolls and pho in the winter. There is a lot to choose from honestly and at very reasonable prices.

I went with the beef brisket which was suggested by the lovely staff at the front counter. I rocked up at 1pm ish and had my roll in my hand literally moments later.

The roll was crispy, warm and super crunchy and edible (could fit my mouth around it easily) but I do have a big mouth! I’m giving it a solid 4.5/5. One of the best rolls I’ve had in a while.

The self pickled carrots and radish were on point, spring onion and beef was also a good helping. And had a good slow cooker taste to it very juicy. Actually had sauce dripping down but that’s kind of standard. The chilli paste was bang on and complimented the beef super well. 4.5/5 from me in the filling department.

I’d hundred percent go back to try the rest of the menu. Being in Alexandria/Redfern. I actually thought it was be more pricey but not at all. It’s a genuine banh mi joint and gets a final result of at least 9/10. Get onto it fellow Banh Mi-nions.

🔥🔥🔥

Perfect little spot for great Vietnamese feed. Bahn Mi, Bun warm salad, pho… you name it. Yumminess in a relaxed neighbourhood near South Eveleigh. Love it during work breaks
