Airport City Manchester

Ryan Air, Manchester Airport: It is what it claims to be—a low-cost airline. Be prepared for long queues that can last for hours. Despite online check-in, you won’t receive a boarding pass online and will still have to queue. Security checks are highly stressful, making me feel like livestock in an auction stall. Overall, it was not a positive experience.

Great airport. It's very big and very busy. Staff were very helpful for us people who have not flown in a very long time. Help was on hand to get everyone through.

I consider this airport a total fail. The route to T1A looks like something out of a horror movie (I'm not kidding). When a person arrives at night, it is not possible to go through security before 3:00 am. The whole management is chaotic. There is little seating in the hall, people are forced to stand. I was washing my hands with hot water in the toilet. Some flights do not have a gate assigned 40 minutes before departure. Free wifi only for 4 hours. The whole thing is saddeningly funny. All of Europe is improving services, but Manchester is the exact opposite of the modern standard.

So outdated and dull. Lucky if U get somewhere to sit. Old security machines and only given the tiniest bag for liquids as hand luggage. I try to avoid using this airport if I can. Thankfully only visit here for a short time before leaving to a destination that is going to be a lot better 😂

Told to check in 2-3hrs for an international flight but not able to check in my luggage until 2hrs before…no waiting area, flight was delayed..security was super tight though.

Despite the rainy night we have at 5 AM, the airport is too warm, we all are sweaty. Water fountains are out of service or the pressure is too low to fill a bottle, it is ridiculous to pay to be dropped off and picked up, crowded corridors with bars or cafes...
It is really disappointing this airport for a city like Manchester.

I dread every time I am going through this airport. The worst part is their security screening which is completely outdated and inefficient. Most modern airports have scanners capable of scanning entire bags. Here you even have to take out the laptop of the sleeve.
