Booked a table for a small party (9 of us) the food took an hour an half to arrive, the restaurant was not busy (3 tables ordering food the rest just drinking) we pre ordered our menu choices a week in advance and still the food took an hour and half to arrive.
The quality of food was terrible, the gamon looked like overcooked bacon rashons, dry and tough. The fish was soggy batter, and small portions of overcooked dry chips (see photos) were very overpriced for what you received.
cheesy garlic pizza and the Apple Crumble pudding was delicious, though.
On speaking to the manager, she agreed the quality was poor and appoligied, the Chef also came out and apologised, offering us money off the bill.

Service was brilliant, made sure we had everything we needed. We had asked if they do wobbly coffees (not on menu) of which they didn't, but after explaining, they made one, and it was lovely. Food was OK. We went in the evening and the environment was a bit noisy so don't go if you want a quiet meal or maybe go for lunch.
Overall we had a good evening and staff are brilliant.

Attended the seahorse for mothers Day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a roast dinner the lamb was lovely, unfortunately it came out luke Warm & on a cold plate, the rest of the dinners off the main menu were hot, the potato's were not home made and not really cooked properly & still hard in the middle. My husband surf & turf that was £23 the steak was very grisly. The deserts were lovely & kids meals were decent.
Gave the staff feedback, it won't stop us from visiting. We will just have something else off the menu.

Waited over an hour for our food only for it to be awful.
Chicken burger was dry, fish was gritty, chips were cold, everything was flavourless even the salsa tasted like tomato puree.
Seemed like a decent enough place to have a drink but definately do not recommend going for food.
Service was pretty bad as well, but pretty sure we had a new server so we don't hold the mistakes against them

The lady serving was nice, but the food was a let down. They could have at least taken the pie out of the foil.

This pub has obviously gone down hill, the pictures from previous posts look nice. It’s not what I experienced.

Enjoyed a festive lunch for a table of 8 today.
I was umming and arring between 3 local eateries and opted for the Seahorse because of the choice in menu.
I easily booked the table and paid a deposit a week or so before.
Upon arrival, the table was beautifully laid out, with Christmas decorations and crackers, candles and a true Christmas atmosphere with festive music playing in the background.
Because we had pre-ordered our food, once drink orders were received, our starters arrived.
All of the selection had been well prepared, served precisely and tasted delicious.
Our mains came along shortly after, and a few of the party had ordered steaks. They were presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. The onion rings and chips were heavenly, every item on the plate having its own flavour.
The salmon was cooked beautifully, with a crispy skin and side dishes full of flavour. Of course we can't forget the Traditional Turkey roast. Succulent and extremely tasty.
Dessert did not disappoint. Christmas pudding packed a punch with alcohol, the bread and butter pudding, like home made and the New York cheesecake and Trillion Tart did not disappoint.

The service was excellent throughout, with the staff on hand to take more drink orders and clear the table.

The Seahorse gave excellent value for money, within a beautiful setting, friendly staff and wonderful service.

If I had to give a rting out of 10 it would be a worthy 10.5
After looking at previous reviews and photos of the roast dinner my partner and I were excited to visit.

Unfortunately we were left bitterley disappointed. The meats (beef and chicken) were overcooked and dry with the beef looking like pre-cooked beef from a packet. The potatos were undercooked with them being very hard in the middle. In terms of stuffing we had one very small hard stuffing ball which looked like it had come from frozen. The runner beans were very soppy and overcooked. The only good part of the meal was the cauliflower cheese which was brilliant.

The waitress was nice although inexperienced. They were missing the basics and didn't even offer condiments for the dinners. I had to go to the bar to ask for salt and pepper. When I raised our grievances with the waitress she said that she would tell the chef. There was no apology at all all or an offer of goodwill.

My partner was chilly throughout the meal and had to wear her jumper over her shoulders.

After comparing what we received to other photos, it appears that we got a much worse service. Overall we were left disappointed and will not be visiting again.
