The beautiful monument is located between the Water Gate and the St George's Gate of the Fort William.the monument to Prinsep is rich in Greek and Gothic inlays. It was restored by the state's public works department in November 2001 and has since been well maintained.In colonial era,British entourages used the Prinsep Ghat jetty for embarkation and disembarkation.Prinsep Ghat is one of the oldest recreational spots of Kolkata.People visit it in the evenings on weekends to go boating on the river, stroll. A nice place to spend some time on weekends.
It's a good place to spend time, You can enjoy the sunset view from here, if you're interested in boating then it's one of the finest place to do so.
One of the places to go on a good misty evening, Enjoy boating over here, enjoy the scenic view of the bridge. N number of street food vendors are around, you can get every possible street food option over here. A fun and loving place to enjoy with your friends.
Princep Ghat in name of James Princep, just 1 km away from Babughat Bus stand. Its is a best place for a leisure in an afternoon or an evening. Princep Ghat is the railway station for Circular Railway. There is a beautiful strand on the bank of the Ganges from Princep Ghat to Chandpal Ghat Ferry Ghat. Boats are available for a ride on the Ganges.
The Nostalgic Princep Ghat is one of the oldest recreational spots of Kolkata and people come here in evenings on weekends to have stroll along the bank, with many food-stalls selling variety of road-side foods. There also is an more than 40 year old ice-cream cum fast-food joint on the ghat, which is popular among the crowds, especially the youngsters.
Its the place where one goes for a good adda, some peaceful time, for sceneric beauty, boat rides, an evening walk, for improving their photography skills, to get their pictures clicked, for photo shoots, and lastly either to make love or to see people making love . Its usually these things that people visit this place for. It has become a lovers paradise. But it's good for anything you want it to be.
This place is also awsome . The Bridge & River was most beautiful couple in this place .The palace was also night . We went here with my college friends in March 2015.
