Food was really good, quality of rice was superb. Size of lotus stem was too big so it was less crispy but it was tasty. Liked the ambience and service.
No sooner did i enter Facing East, i was awwed by its chic and starry ambience, an Asian fine dine restaurant which had top notch written all over it.
The place is exceedingly large, Lit with comfy outside seating and cosy indoors.
The service - outstanding. Brownie points to Mr Suyash whose recommendations were in sync with what we wanted.
What we ate
Chicken dumpling noodle soup - needed to be customised with the number of sauces. Tasted divine.
Prawn and corriander dumplings - these were so tasty with the dipping sauce. They just melt in your mouths.
Prawns tempura Bao - watta fusion of taste. The sweetness of the soft boas, the tangyiness of the chilly mayo and the crispyness of the tempura prawns - a crunchy delight.
Ah poh chicken rice - a perfect rice dish to end it all. The portion size - super generous. A chefs special secret reciepe.

An Asian Fine dine, the interiors of Facing East give a premium feel with light music, and the use of adequately lit up dark interiors gives a peaceful ambience.
For all our dishes, we inquired with the manager and mostly went with his suggestions, starting off with
CHILLI BASIL CHICKEN (starter) Tender chicken pieces with understated flavours of basil and chicken. One of their most popular items, we enjoyed it.
The TRIO MUSHROOM SOUP was an amalgamation of 3 varieties of mushrooms, which were light on the palate and a treat for mushroom lovers.
On trying to choose between a dimsum or a cheung-fun, we went for the PEPPER CHICKEN Cheung-fun, since they seemed similar dishes. With a thick steamed rice paper coating, the filling mainly contained steamed pepper chicken and a bit of mushrooms. The taste was quite bland even with the pouring sauce.
We also tried the PRAWNS TEMPURA Sushi & the TANUKI PRAWNS Sushi. Not personally a Sushi fan, so would just say the ones who enjoy sushi quite relished it, mainly the Tanuki one.
Our final dish was the KOREAN POT RICE, which we totally underestimated when the manager said it would be spicy, since all other dishes were quite on the milder side. The quantity of the rice was extremely generous, sufficing 3-4 people with a medium appetite.
The spice level was too high, not for the faint hearted, but the taste was brilliant, with just the right amount of punch. My favourite dish of the evening. The veggies were too chunky for my preference though.
The pricing is on a slightly mid-range. The quality of food was top notch & the service quick & hospitable. The restaurant was packed on a weekday evening, so a reservation is recommended. An ideal spot for a date night or family dining for Asian food lovers.

Asian food lovers…treat for you at Facing East near Oshivara! Food was tasty and slightly expensive! The ambience is very classy and its located in the prime area where many other restaurants are also put up! The chicken bao but we did not like it as it was having a different sauce which was smelly! Rest all other dishes were very good, sushi, korean rice was huge quantity , sangria, edmame dimsums etc! Must visit once atleast! The staff was supportive!!
Very delicious Asian food and great service. The food that we tried was very authentic and delicious. We tried Sushi, Malaysian Flat noodles, dimsums and soups. Everything was tasty. Their complimentary Kimchi and pickled cucumber and carrots were good and that helped us a lot to keep ourselves alive till the food was served, as we were hungry by the time we reached. The decor of the place was very nice that made us feel pleasant. Facing East is a very good place to go as the ambience, food and service, everything, is superb.

The ambeince is rustic and cozy and has 2-3 sections and fully AC with light music. Would be fun to have real japnese music in the background 😀
Food quality is sumptuous but be aware of their main course quantity. The waiter did warn us and true to his warning one plate can easily be enough for 3-4 people.
Be it the Tom yum soup, trebo mushroom soup or the honey glazed chicken, butter garlic prawns and all other items, every thing tasted authentic. Must try sushi if you are in a Pan Asian restaurant serving japnese food as very tasty.
Their preparation and presentation skills are above par and so is the service. The waiters waiting position was brilliant, as no eye contact but available just immediately if you want them. All items were served hot and fresh.
NO Drinks at this outlet although the Juhu one has it, so beware.
Only drawback noticed was they charged 10% service charge despite court orders not to charge without asking customer, hence one star ⭐ less

Had a second chance to visit on Diwali occasion for dinner and they accomodated 20of us, in the AC section as requested.
