Nice apartments! Friendly employees, very clean

I was watching over my friend’s apartment as she was out of town for about a month and based on what I witnessed, I would not recommend these apartments AT ALL. I have never seen a more dysfunctional apartment complex. Broken appliances, unbearably loud noise, windows that don’t fully close, and no hot water all with the addition of poor maintenance and assistance is what you’d be paying for if you ever decided to rent here. You’ll never catch me near those apartments again.

This apartment complex is an absolute nightmare. Not only is there constant, disruptive construction noise that renders working from home nearly impossible, but the laundry appliances and heater are consistently dysfunctional. My heater has been broken, leaving me without hot water during winter times. It's clear that the previous owner's neglect has carried over, as the new management's approach is equally appalling. Spare yourself the headache and steer clear of this place. They prioritize profit over your basic comfort and safety. You've been warned.

i did not get to see the apartments (due to my not having proper ID), but the ladies in the leasing office could not have been nicer. They were super informative, explained everything well and I have confidence that they are getting the building in order after new management took over last year

2/6/24 Edit: It looks like the hot water has been fixed, but the rating will remain at 3 stars because we were without hot water for way too many days over two winters. If conditions stay within normal expectations, I will revisit this review in a few months.

Honestly, this place has been great for us over the last year - my rating would be either 4 or 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that we've only had lukewarm bath water for way too many days during this winter AND last winter: Feb, Mar & Dec of '23 and almost all of January '24.
They keep telling us they are working on the boiler, but the one time they told us it was fixed, we had hot water for ~4 days, then it went back to being lukewarm. I do not understand how an issue like this can persist, in an area where Winter is significant every year and is never a surprise.
*Edit: A service ticket I placed for hot water was cancelled, but restored after I asked it be returned to active status.
The front desk staff and maintenance workers have been great. Our apartment is spacious. The elevators had been a problem last Fall and my wife was once stuck for 20 minutes, but they have rectified those issues. Again, this review should be either 4 or 5 stars, but will remain 2 stars until we consistently get hot water - a hot shower/bath is a significant quality of life issue, especially during the winter, considering the amount we pay in rent each month for an East Harlem apartment.

I lived here for two years and loved it. The building is clean. The staff are all amazing. The front desk staff is 24/7 and they are all nice and helpful and quick with a smile. The maintenance team is superb. I've never seen faster service. I couldn't recommend this place more.

I love everything about the Tapestry…Jesus was very helpful with the tour, and guided us through the process with ease. We moved in a month ago, the 24 hour security team made us feel at home right away! Our apartment is spacious with a beautiful view, a lot of closet space and the supers do a great job keeping the building clean!!!
