Palmetto General Hospital

I don’t know where to begin with this place, my mom was going through chemotherapy treatments, after her 5th and final one her mouth got all sorts of soares which resulted in her not being able to eat for about a week or so. We went there under the advice of her oncologist, we spent 5 hours in emergency before they finally gave her a room. First thing I noticed was how disgusting and dirty the room was, but again I was hopeful. I left around 10 something at night the next morning when I got there they we’re trying to do every test humanly possible except treat her mouth which was the reason we were there to begin with, Not to mention the fact that my mom was completely SOILED in Urine the whole night until I got there. I am so livid with this place I Immediately dressed her and got her out of there. The nurses don’t have an answer or response for anything and the doctors wouldn’t even show their faces to the room.. I gave this hospital 1 star ⭐️ becas I can’t give it 0 stars. Do not take your loved ones here. Trust me this has got to be the worst hospital in Miami.

I visited a love one person at this place. She wasn’t change of position for a while. While entúbate, she was in the middle of the bed with her legs practically outside the bed. According to one male nurse at their station: “ they would need a lot of people for repositioning her”! She just weights around 95 pounds. I tried couple of times to find some help, but nobody could help. What I saw was some Nurses flitting around with colleagues and playing with their cell phones….

I’m not sure why the reviews are such on google. I had an appt for the Inari procedure performed by Dr Raoli. From the minute I walked in the door , I was graciously met by Alisia at reception. She walked my wife and into the proper place for same day surgeries. From there I met several women who were very nice and friendly. Dr.Raoli’s team with Mike who prepped me to Carla who gave be the juice and took my vitals were as best as I have ever dealt with in my 66 years . Dr found my wife in the waiting room and explained everything she had questions for, with a smile. This guy loves what he does!! Dr Raoli and this procedure removed the blood clots in my legs. Hopefully in a month I’ll be back to where I need to be. Love the team and was impressed how clean the hospital was. They’re were other great team members just don’t remember all their names?

My mom was brought to the ER by ambulance and they dropped her off with the wrong name and told us we were at the wrong hospital. It wasn’t until we insisted that they searched for her and found her. They were rude and treated her like a piece of meat. The ICU was amazing but then 6th floor was something from a third world country. Nurses did not come by, when you called them they never came. I had to clean and change my mom’s bed. Her attending DR went on vacation and they didn’t assign her another one to cover until I stood in front of the nurse station and insisted. She apparently tested positive (they had told us negative in ICU) on the 22nd. She has not been treated for COVID nor does she have active symptoms but today on the 27th without another test placed a patient next to her that is confirmed positive. If at all possible I would recommend go elsewhere. I can’t even imagine someone without family to advocate for them.

Hi I am giving a 3 because I saw alot of bad then good. Let me start with the good. The overnight crew is more caring for the patients. Morning crew only see them 1 maybe 2 times afternoon crew is ok. If you have a family m3mber who can't move please make sure someone stays with them. Because nurses don't feed them sometimes do t 3v3n help them get comfy to eat. Patience has to call 20 times to get the right nurse. Now there are nurses who were rude to me and the neighbors I had she was a black lady that worked the afternoon on the 4 floor
There was only 1 good nurse and I think her named was spelled yenelis. Spanish lady super nice and welcoming she needs a higher position there cause she was great.the only one and I stayed there like 4 nights. They discharge you and don't even explain to you what to do ar home I been having to Google everuthing..
They let patience leave with pain. And then priscib3 medicine they do t even have at pharmacy. Never again coming here for an emergency or nothing at all.ill drive a little further for betterhelp. Ple as e train your nurses.

Why in gods green earth does this hospital not provide an internal walkway from the “mall” to the main hospital??? So you can park in the garage so you don’t get rained on only to have to walk on the side of the building and get soaked!!

Did I mention that ALL visitors are charged a parking fee of $5-$7 every time you visit your loved ones!! Wow…

Suggestion to management: Please build a walkway with a cover ANY COVER. Wouldn’t cost much in comparison to the money you all make from the parking lot/Garage.

My best friend has been on life support for 3 weeks so I personally have run up a nice tab.

Best neurological care or so I have been told.

Could definitely take more care of the people who visit the sick.

Also don’t expect to have food on the weekends except a lonely subways.

I'm here with my mom for the very first time she is being hospitalized and the nurse has come in to tell me that I can't stay with her it was something new after covid. I'm suppose to fill out some kind of paper work to have it approved and then I can stay with her. I talked to the floor supervisor and she gave me the run around all ridiculous lies.
