Grace Lutheran Childcare

We were truly blessed to find Grace Lutheran childcare when we did. Our youngest was cared for in the "littlest" room from the time she was almost 2 until she turned 2.5. The director is scrupulous in ensuring that teachers have various themed lesson plans for all children. The classroom is engaging and interactive and our daughter came home all the time having learned new songs, dances, games and letters. They partnered with us on potty training early on and were a major part of our daughter's success.

Our K-age daughter also came to GL for a summer and LOVED her time here. She played games, did art, learned more about God, and made great friends.

I truly believe we had the best early-learning experience here and were so grateful for all of the lovely, consistent, kind and loving teachers we came across. Grace Lutheran is wonderful!

I had a wonderful experience with my little one here. He started around 15 months old and Grace Lutheran did an awesome job making sure that his needs were accommodated. I enjoyed that all the adults know the kids and there is a very family feel to the place. There were several adults there that my son was quite bonded with. They also did a great job of teaching kids independent skills (washing hands, putting clothes on, pushing chair in). I’ve moved to a daycare only because it’s closer to me and I see my son has higher self-help skills than his peers from Grace Lutherans environment (and smaller student ratio). Their playground is unparalleled to any other one I’ve seen in area.Diverse toys, real grass, and shade from trees it’s a wonderland. Last thing I will say is the place has great operations with communicating falls/accidents and student needs. I know some schools have apps and tech savvy ways to communicate to parents but I felt I got all the info I needed here.

I highly recommend Grace Lutheran as an option for your childcare needs!

My kids attended preschool at Grace Lutheran for five years. As a Washington state certified Early Achiever’s Program, Grace Lutheran prepared both of my children academically for elementary school.

Hours are flexible (6:30am-6pm). Great location, located close to I-205 off of Mill Plain in Vancouver. Childcare has been reliable even during the pandemic. The director and many teachers have cared for children at Grace Lutheran for years and the communication is great.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! 5/5 stars!

For those of you who, like me, judge a childcare based off of reviews, fear not! At the time of this review, this business only has 4/5 stars, but the experience has easily been THE BEST childcare experience we've ever had.

We came in after management changed, about 3 years ago. Prices have been fair, children have been safe, and Judy, the director, has been very communicative regarding any upcoming events or closures.

Weather or Covid-19 closures(infrequent) have been refunded back to us, which has been awesome.

Overall, excellent experience. We would easily recommend this business and team of wonderful people to anyone in the area!

P.s. for those who care, I'm NOT lutheran and my wife has left christianity through covid19. Despite these seemingly large differences, we have BOTH felt extremely comfortable having our daughter in this daycare. Any faith engagement that has happened with our daughter seems to extremely balanced, limited, and well-thought out. Which is important to my family.
Judy, and her staff, truly take care to foster a child-first environment.

A wonderful caring, imaginative, and safe place for our granddaughter. She really blossomed there and she left only because her mom took a job in Oregon and wanted her to be closer. Judy doesn't excellent job of keeping curriculum on track and the teachers are carefully selected to nurture and yet still further academic skills. Lots of one-on-one attention. Highly recommend this daycare and preschool

My son has been here for 3.5 years. The staff are amazing, kind, and caring. They teach the kids in a caring and fun environment. When Covid started, they created a plan to keep the kids and staff as safe as possible. Prior to finding this gem, my son was at a daycare where he was bit several times and staff were oblivious. Anytime my son had an accident (never bit) at Grace, the staff knew about it, documented it, and communicated that to us. I never felt scared to leave him here. I'm so thankful for the strong foundation of knowledge and love my son recieved. I highly recommend Grace Lutheran Childcare.

This childcare has had so many positive changes over the past year since Judy has taken over as Director. Grace is a safe, loving, and fun environment that is compliant with WA state regulations. Judy and her staff are all terrific people that truly love the children. Highly recommend!
