Beautiful playground and trail tucked away in the trees. Washroom, picnic areas, super fun 'hills' to run up and down. Just wouldn't recommend trails for anyone under 3, steep sections with only room for one to maneuver.

We live close by and go to Heywood park ALL the time. It's a beautiful park. It has a playground with a small slide for the littles, a slightly bigger one for a little older kids and a Zipline. Outside the immediate playground area, is a dog park and also a few trails and a creek. It's looks deceptively small, but actually a lovely lovely park. The creek is beautiful and all summer my toddler loves going to the creek everyday.

Can't believe in the heart of the North Vancouver District find such an amazing park and trail. We spent an hour in a quite and charming nature here as even in the end of the winter was alive and inspiring. Trail was wild but well maintained with some wooden boardwalks. River was calming and picturesque. A free parking lot just close to Marine Drive and a playground for kids.

Nice little park/trail along McKay creek in the city! Much quieter compared with neighbouring mosquito creek.
The trail has some ups and downs with some stairs and board walks. About 2k to do a whole loop. Perfect for a quick walk or dog walking.

Heywood Park, a hidden gem nestled in a serene neighborhood, offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This charming park, though modest in size, boasts a well-maintained landscape that features a variety of green spaces, perfect for picnics, leisurely strolls, or just soaking in the tranquility of nature

Only just another beautiful park in North Van. There’s a great trail to hike for an easy yet stunningly natural trail with natures smell and sounds. Plus a tributary of capilano I believe but I could be wrong. Good for taking the kids and getting them excited to not be on their phones or gaming.

One of our favourite parks in North Vancouver. This place has everything from a children’s playground, picnic areas, a beautiful river, and a winding trail of roughly 15 minutes each way. Make sure you say Hi if we pass you on the trail!
