Unbelievable experience, my heart was beating every second of it
If you are a bc resident you will get a yearly pass with a purchase of a day pass, the staff is very helpful and friendly, nature is amazing with lots of places to explore. You going to be so impressed if you like heights. There are great snacks and a local restaurant for you to fuel up also, make sure you wear comfortable clothes and takes a lot of picture because you’re going to be walking around and being amazed for a couple hours , I believe tickets are fair prices compare to the hours that you spend in there and attraction You visit I was hoping to see a bear but unfortunately I wasn’t able to see one which is good you know that you will be safe. Food price is reasonable but not cheap like another attraction places we go, great get away for some fresh air and nature healing, kid friendly and safe but watching kids are necessary

The most wonderful experience to visit this park. The scenery is spectacular. Grab a coffee and walk among the trees and enjoy the sounds and smells of nature. Walk over the suspension bridge if you have a head for heights and it’s a bit wobbly. You can take the walkway up among the trees and come close to the birds. A must when you visit Vancouver

Visiting this place on Halloween was like stepping into a magical wonderland. The enchanting lighting transformed it into a fantasy realm, making every corner feel surreal and captivating. It was a truly mesmerizing experience, and I couldn't help but feel like I'd entered a world of dreams. The attention to detail and the creativity in the decorations were outstanding. It was a Halloween night I'll never forget, filled with enchantment and wonder. A truly spellbinding experience!

This was my first time actually going to this attraction, if you are a BC resident that is local I'd highly recommend the annual pass since it's the same price as a day pass. It was a beautiful day to go as we were lucky with the weather, it was a little cold but not rainy. We took about 2 hours exploring all there is to offer. Some highlights were the live owl and its handler educating the crowd and a wild juvenile bald eagle. The suspension bridge actually swings a lot more than I expected it to so your experience may vary depending and size, weight and amount of people out on the bridge. The tree top walkways are narrow with each base being large enough for at least a dozen people to stand. Felt like an ewok out of starwars.. Pretty cool. Of course since we came here during Halloween season it's decorated up with some spooky things. Some adventure challenge maps for the kids to do and at the end they can spin a wheel for a treat. The Cliff walk was really cool and all in all we had a good adventure. With the annual pass we will return for Christmas season and as many times as we can to get maximum value out of the passes. There is a on site restaurant and gift shop as well as an ice cream shop none of which we bought from on this visit. Maybe next time. One thing to note is that parking can fill up and it was a little over $8 for the maximum 3 hours but it's automatically 3 hours even if you select 1 hour. They encourage reservations online but it didn't seem to matter. You can purchase passes on site and you can also upgrade day passes to annual passes before you exit. Lots of great photo ops throughout. One word of caution.... If you are scared of heights or stairs this one isn't for you.

What a great place! This was our second stop on our tour from Westcoast sightseeing tours. The main attraction is the suspension bridge, but there’s so much more. Walking trails, high top cliffwalk, kids scavenger hunt, snack bar, educational wildlife talks, restaurant and souvenir shop. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food and the snacks are reasonably priced and delicious. And not to mention, the awesome sights throughout the park. There’s lots of free parking in front and across the street. And is very easy to find from the main road. Recommend!

A fun and unique perspective and experience crossing a suspension bridge over a mountain river and then walking the treetop adventure and cliff walk. Some stairs so need to be mobile, but 70 year old parents did the tree top walk with rests. Easy for kids but not really stroller accessible. Easy access to bathrooms, multiple cafes, informational displays to educate about the rain forest and animals who live there. Gift shop onsite with West coast gifts on hand. Go early in morning for a fuller experience and less crowds. Highly recommend!!

The hike to here it’s amazing. You can run, jog or walk. Also so many mushrooms in the fall, I just love it.

This bridge sometimes freaks me out because of the movement 😂 lots of people do running here. But it’s pretty peaceful by staring at the river!

Absolutely beautiful outdoor excursion. Had an amazing time walking through the uniquely built suspended walkways. The staff was kind and helpful when my group was asking questions. Beautiful exhibits of First Nation history, supplies, and tools. Good food and cute little gift shop that is decorated with a warm log-cabin feeling.

This is such a fun and must-see place to go! Even when it's a little wet, it's a lot of fun. There is food available there, you can easily spend a half-day exploring the different levels of this park. With lots of rest areas, it's a moderate climb, but still totally doable if you're working on your fitness journey.
I definitely recommend going earlier, before 11am as it definitely starts to get busy after that. I really appreciated the free, year-round shuttle, it really sold me on visiting.

Very doable hike to beautiful falls! We didn't know how to get to the closest parking lot, so we parked by the suspension bridge. In total our roundtrip walk took around 5 house. No extremely hard areas. The falls were beautiful to take pics at. Highly recommend!

Great place. Walk turns into hike after First Lake with lots of roots, boulders to walk on so if it's wet it will be challenging but totally worth the end of the path view!!

This is one of three main attractions in the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.
You may walk by for a couple of times to enjoy the view of capilano River, canyon, and the main Suspension Bridge.

This was a fun day trip adventure. Once you get past the mountain bike trails, the ground gets a bit more rugged, but I wouldn't call this a gruelling hike by any means. Elevation change was minor and the trail was well marked (just look for the orange tags on the trees and you won't need to worry about getting lost). There's a river to the east along most of the route and the majority of the trip runs North-South, so you'll always know your heading. The big cedar is a fun landmark, but the falls are the real treat. The falls are both energetic, yet peaceful, and part of me wishes I had brought supplies for a picnic as the location would lend itself well to a nice lunch. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this trail to those with mobility issues, but so long as you have decent shoes and don't mind a little mud and the occasional use of hands to navigate the few tricky spots, this is a pretty forgiving trail. I spent nearly 5 hours going out and back, as it is a lengthy route, but the shade from the trees helps and I definitely didn't need as much water as I thought. Bring snacks in case you get peckish.

Great place for hiking. Paths range from moderate to challenging. If you like nature, this is a terrific park. And if you follow a path to the ski resort, there's the Dog Mountain hike for a view of the city.

First time seeing these magnificent creatures. We went after 7pm to score the cheap gondola tickets and avoid a lot of the tourist groups but the days are long so still plenty of light. The bears were hard to find initially but came out on their own accord shortly after arriving. Jaw dropping seeing how close these bears get. Highly recommend going at dusk due to far less people.

There's two bears, and it's such a fabulous set up. Watching the bears up close in their environment is brilliant. Really well set up there.

Up close and personal if you get your timing right .... early AM best

This is my first my hiking in Canada. Up and down hiking is 14 kms. This is mix of easy and intermediate trial. Saw few aged people and kids doing this hiking. They must have practiced walking and I do recommend streching. Dogs are allowed till Norvan falls. You can get down to water fall.
Overall experience is great. Have good hiking shoes because path is so hard. Hiking stick is optional. Take water bottle and packed foods.

First things first, gondola tickets are a LOT (75$ per person) but you get the best views of Vancouver, a pretty nice 45-minute Lumberjack show, two bears that live in a very large area, a bird show and beautiful wood carvings. The restaurants are decent but a little bit expensive.
If you have the courage and physical fit, I'd take the stairs up, but that is a long walk in itself.

Certainly not the cheapest activity in the Vancouver area, but it really is worth it. The gondola ticket gets you to the top of the mountain and then there are a number of excellent activities included in the ticket price, including birds of prey, a lumberjack show, ranger talks, an opportunity to see two rescued grizzly bears, and a 4-man chairlift to the summit for even more stunning views. We took a picnic up to the summit to avoid the wait (and, probably, cost) of buying food on the mountain. That said, there are a number of different places to grab lunch should you want to, as well as an ice cream stand, coffee bar, BeaverTails, etc..
Half a day is barely enough to see it all properly, and it could easily be a full day out. Note that, at peak times, you may need to wait to get both up and down the mountain on the gondola - we waited around an hour to get back down (from 16:00-17:00).
Overall, well worth a visit.

Beautiful views and nice easy to follow trail to the main viewpoint. There are some optional lesser travelled trails nearby that also have some great views

I loved it! Both bears are superstars! They pose and are really friendly and show themselves!
It was just amazing to watch them ! I would do it all over again !
The rangers tell you nice stories about them !

I had an incredible experience on the Dog Mountain Trail! This hike was the perfect blend of easygoing and beautiful. The trail treats you to scenic views and even boasts a charming small lake that you'll come across along the way. But the real highlight? The view from the top is absolutely amazing! It's like being on top of the world, surrounded by nature's beauty. If you're looking for a hike that's both enjoyable and offers a stunning payoff, Dog Mountain Trail is a must-visit. Can't wait to go back and experience it all over again!

Very nice and fun for the whole family. You'll need a whole day to explore everything comfortably. They have a lot of informative, and funny shows. There's places to hike at as well.
One downside is that their food is overpriced. Overall a fun experience

Absolutely amazing and thrilling walk! It feels like you’re high up in the forest and the views are simply breathtaking. I enjoyed this more than the suspension bridge.

We went during the summer and it was a great little tourist attraction with grizzly bears - Grinder & Coola - a Lumberjack show, Indigenous music, and wild birds of prey.
Recommend planning to spend at least a few hours here. The longest queue was taking the gondola down the mountain so plan on leaving taking a little longer then you would expect.
Got lucky and saw a beautiful Raven in the parking lot too.
There is a shuttle that takes you from Canada Place to Grouse Mountain that runs about every 30-45 minutes. If you are staying around downtown, use the shuttle to your advantage.

Nice and easy hike that has a bit of incline going back to the parking lot at the end took about hour and 20 minutes total going at a moderate pace. Great view of lower mainland. Lots of dog walkers and kids on the hike, feels like a great family hiking place to go to.

Excellent place to visit. Close to Vancouver city. Good parking. All day admission with most of the activities included except zip line is a great deal. We enjoy the Tram up to mountain, lumber jack show, cable chair ride, bird show, bear habitat and various talk. Great learning experience for children. Breathtaking views from the mountain and simply very beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. All day activity. Take water bottle, some snacks, hat, sun screen and enjoy. Restaurant is available on the top of the mountain which is a great option to but a little pricy as expected.

Not a hard hike, but lots of tree roots, slippery loose rocks, and gravel make it a little slippery. If you aren't careful, you could tweak your ankle pretty easily. Good shoes are highly recommended. The view is nice. Most of the trail is shaded. The bugs bite so be careful. The trail is being worked on at certain points currently so work crews and closures may happen while they improve the trail.

The Capilano suspension bridge and Cliff walk are wonderful. A cool and interesting place also for the many educational activities suitable for children. I experienced the pleasure of walking for hours on wooden planks in the shade of tall trees. ..Particularly relaxing.

Easy trail with lots of tree roots. Took us a leisurely 45 minutes each way. Not too many bugs. We went during overcast skies which was optimal.

The gondola trip up and down is very pleasant
The person at the helmet provided great information
The walk around nature and the four legged residents are a real treat. The humans manning the place at all stations are very nice. We had a drink watching the sunset. The whole experience was extremely gratifying. Thank you!

Took my relatives here and it is a nice opportunity to see the changes it has made since the last time I went. The gondola was crowded and people are looking for good window views. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. You gets views of urban and wildlife - it’s Vancouver after all which is nice. They have nice beach seats and picnic tables in most areas.
BRING BUG SPRAY - lots of mosquitoes during the summer and regretted not being prepared for that.

Highly recommend spending the day at Grouse Mountain. Make sure to watch one of the lumberjack shows.... it was a world class production and very well executed. Also take the complimentary ski lift up to the very, very top! Beautiful views! If you get hungry have a beaver tail, I recommend the classic. Great place!

Very easy and relaxing trail. You can see Vancouver lower mainland and even Mt. Baker on clear days. Dogs are welcomed and lots of water resources along the way for pets to drink and play around. The only downside is there are plenty of bugs so bring some insect repellents or bug nets.

Amazing mountain. In summer, there are the options for hikes at the resort itself (closed during summer) and in the Provincial park. Winter you can go skiing, snowboarding, tubing, tobogganing, and snowshoeing at the resort. You can also go snowshoeing in the provincial parks. The resort is family owned amd family friendly, there is also lots of accessible parking. All of the hikes and ski/snowboard runs are beautiful. Would recommend to both locals and tourists.

You start the hike at Lynn Headwaters park. There’s paid parking, but I usually do free parking a couple of blocks away from the park. The hike is not hard at all, mild slope, but it is long, 4.5 hrs without the stops. The water is absolutely cold but if you practice your Wim Hof breathing you can enjoy sitting in the natural pool.

I learned so much about bears. The person speaking about them was encyclopaedically knowledgeable. My baby was also absolutely delighted by them. What incredible creatures!
There was a bonus today of having a spritz of water mist going around near the enclosure, too. A pleasant way to learn about a majestic creature I would not like to encounter on any other mountain wander.
Here are some photos to give you an idea of the closeness, but they cannot do the experience justice.

Having travelled all the way from New Zealand (with one of my hopes being to see bears) I was initially disappointed that all my photos would have mesh at the forefront, but after I found a spot that allowed a clearer view, I was enthralled. It is such a privilege to have the opportunity to see, experience and photograph bears like this. It's a great enclosure and a fantastic opportunity. If you are able to get here, it's more than worth the effort. Fabulous!!

This was such an informative experience! We learned so much about how bears hibernate. These grizzlies were just coming out of hibernation. Every now and again they would lift their heads and then, like a teenager, fall right back asleep. Would highly recommend this!!

Easy to get to once you step off the gondola. Had no troubles seeing the bears, though you might have to wait a bit if they're in the wooded area of the enclosure.

Moderate hike that took us about 3.5 hrs. Definitely worth it. Get to be upclose to a gorgeous waterfall.

Absolute delight, did this mid-May. I started this hike from Rice Lake parking lot and it was 18.48kms, took me ~4.5 hours. I did this on a weekday and there very few people on the trail. I imagine it’s busier on the weekends. Definitely need a full day for this hike, it’s easy and more like a LONG walk.

A very easy hike with an amazing rewarding view at the end. If you go anytime that there is snow or ice in the trail please be careful. It is an easy one but without the correct equipment there is a real risk for Ilan injury.

Flat trail with some loose rocks and some branches.. we did the loop going back and it takes us like 6-7hours round trip, depends on your pace.
We parked in (Lynn Canyon Park East Parking Lot) FREE parking but extra km going to norvan falls than to pay $15 a day in the other parking lot..
We see some dog with leash and without there is a post sign where you can put leash and not.
There is a washroom starting the trail but other than that there is nothing so better to use washroom before starting to walk.
Must be visit..

Beautiful scenery, with a chance to see a bald eagle flying overhead or down the river. Enjoyable. 2 hours is the most you will need to see it all. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was crowded.

Quick and easy hike from the top of the Grouse. You can see Kennedy lake from here. Great snow shoe destination in winter.

Nice intermediate hike to the fall! Longer hike but incline was not hard. Lots of things to see along the way. No problem with my 10 years old daughter.

A must for beginner hikers who are ready to step it up. The trail is safe overall. There are some tricky parts where you have to watch where you step and whether the ground is stable. Otherwise, the path is clear. Would not recommend hiking if there is rainy weather or wet grounds. It is not fun.
Your reward for this journey is the refreshing sound and visual of water falling from great heights.

Has water filling station for your own water bottle.

This is a dog focused review of the off leash hike to Norvan Falls via Lower Lynn Loop trail, Cedar Mill trail, and Lynn Headwaters trail. Read more
Difficulty level: 3 / 5
This hike is moderately difficult due to its length and some steep, rocky sections. The first half of the hike is easy and starts to get more challenging after you enter the Headwater trail and diverge from Lynn Creek.
Popularity: 4 / 5
This is a very popular area for hiking and trail running, especially during late spring to early autumn, so you will come across many other people and dogs along the way. The hike never feels crowded due to the length of the trail but sometimes it may feel crowded once you get to Norvan Falls and you may have trouble finding a good place to relax and enjoy the view.
Activities: 5 / 5
Dogs are allowed off leash on all the trails used in this hike, so they have the freedom to explore and enjoy all the natural sights and smells. For the hoomans, there are some pretty nice creek and waterfall views. There’s also a great variation of scenery on this hike so it never gets too monotonous. The myriad of little creeks along the trails that feed into Lynn Creek, which runs right along the trail for most of the hike, offers an an opportunity for water loving dogs to play in the water and go for a swim as well!
Personally, I found the views of Norvan Falls and Lynn Creek beautiful, but it was not anything spectacular or awe inspiring. For me, what made the 4 hour hike worth it was not the waterfall view itself, but the varied natural scenery of the trails along the way. You start out on a wider path along Lynn Creek and the trail eventually narrows and you find yourself walking through a coniferous forest with lots of deciduous shrubs. There are also many smaller creeks that cross the trail into Lynn Creek. Roughly halfway into the hike you will reach a clearing by Lynn Creek. At the top of the clearing is the start of the Headwaters trail. From here, the trail veers away from Lynn Creek and becomes rockier and steeper. As you go further up, larger coniferous trees and ferns begin to dominate the scenery. At the end of the Headwaters trail is Norvan Falls.
Comfort: 4 / 5
There are a number of places to chill and relax and take in the scenery during the hike, such as the benches along the trail at the first section of the hike and a clearing before the hike diverges from Lynn Creek. However at Norvan Falls itself, it’s very hard to find a comfortable spot to relax, especially when it gets crowded.
Safety: 4 / 5
This hike is generally safe for hoomans and doggos. I have not come across any potentially dangerous wildlife such as bears, cougars or coyotes and it’s a popular hike so it will be easy to get help in case of an emergency. Trails are clear so you are unlikely to get lost. The only potential danger is that there are steep cliffs near the area around Norvan Falls so consider leashing your dog once you get close to the waterfall if that’s an issue.
Access: 4 / 5
Lots of parking near Lynn Headwaters entrance, both free and paid, but you may have to wait for a parking spot on very busy days. Free parking is along Lynn Valley road further from the trailhead. Paid parking closer to the entrance, including one right at the entrance.

Very beautiful trail. Easy access by transit and also around the area there are a lot of mountain bike trails.

Finding the start of the trail is not obvious, but once you park, walk down the big road and you should see a sign marking the start of the trail. There are orange markers along the trail but nothing else.
Great hike at an intermediate level. There’s not a huge elevation change but the second half of the trail can get more rough since there are streams of water you have to cross and more steep areas where you have climb carefully. Make sure you bring good shoes since the terrain can get rough and wet.
At the end, there is a beautiful waterfall. Definitely worth a sight.

I went to the Park on a Tuesday afternoon and on this trip I went also to the cliff walk in the park. It is included in the total price of around 65$ for an adult. I was there for around 2.5 hours and so everything in the park. It is a nice attraction also for kids.

Handy place to park for mountain biking if the Old Buck parking lot is full. Has flush toilets rather than pit toilets.

Great views of the canyon and bridge. Nothing too scary here. We felt safe and the railing was a good height. The structure never felt wobbly or movement while we were on it.

Great new addition to the park! Was lots of fun to walk out over the valley below, and the lights were a nice touch. Good to go while not busy to be able to go a bit slower and enjoy the views. Would be a slow tight squeeze if very busy.

Today was my first time on Mount Seymour. My husband, niece and myself went snow tubing. It was such a fun and exciting experience. It's was snowing and nice and cold. Lots of people came and had lots of fun. I would recommend this experience to everyone, all ages. There is lots of snow activities for everyone. Definitely a five out of five.

What a beautiful area! End of the road and 2 big Baseball fields!. You can hike around and explore. Playground is updated and can entertain kids for hours!,

Great place for children & adult's

Absolutely awesome part of the park, loved walking along the narrow cliff edge and seeing the beautiful views down to the canyon below. Impressive bolts in the cliff face hold together the walkway, which is very very stable compared to the suspension bridge. There are a lot of steps and staircases so keep that in mind. Interesting informational signs about the power of water as well above the cliff edge. Highly recommend!

This is a great tourist attraction as well as a cool spot for locals. Honestly, the bridge is so high I can't look down from it without getting scared. its apparently safe enough, I wouldn't know, i'm not an architect or engineer. I hope it is safe enough but well, so far so good. Go check it out. its worth the trip. Super neat.

Great spot to park to ride the Seymour MTB trails. A washroom and a bottle fill station is super convenient. Also a solid place for post ride bevies.

Beautiful spot for snowshoeing and also mid summer. Trails COULD be maintained a little bit more but over great spot!

Didn't expect a partial blue bird day! Started out in drizzle then Grouse Grind up via Skyline Trail all the way to Dam Mountain while looping back to Thunderbird Ridge. Have never hiked beyond the chalet was pleasantly surprised by the view. Saw a size 1 avalanche in action today. Also a pine marten got into the chalet and they were trying to set up traps to capture it. Download ticket is now $20.

Went for a hike in the snow with some buddies, one of whom is an avid outdoorsman. Other than the somewhat lack of parking everything was great. The trails were pretty empty on a weekday morning and the slope was steep(as mountains often are lol) but was very satisfying to get to the top. Made it to Brockton point and stopped there as we were limited for time. Unfortunately it was foggy/cloudy up there so we didn't get to enjoy the spectacular views up there but there is always next time

Best biking I've experienced hands down bar none. Through the loop to Dog Mountain from the skiing lot, fantastic mix of terrain, view and elevation. When dry, would be ideal for trail running, as most of the trails are relatively tame and predictable. Cold, gritty and exciting experience. Dogs are ironically required to be leashed, but it makes sense since the trail is quite busy.

Gorgeous setting for two baseball diamonds. Unfortunately the fields (though very green) are not great (and they could be). Looks like like of care by the users has damaged the infield brass and used for bad bounces. The batting cage has been trashed and is filled with the with junk.

This was a great, enjoyable hike. Probably not the best for your first hike. Some terrain , lots of rocks, trees to climb over or around. Some small muddy sections. Very forested for shade from the sun. Pay attention to trail markers. The water fall is lovely. Places to stop and picnic or just enjoy the sight and sound of the falls. . Go early if you don't want to wait in line for parking. We arrived approximately 11 30 am and waited about 20 to 30 minutes for a parking stall.

Definitely a nice hike, especially if you go past the big cedar and visit Kennedy falls, but it is fairly long and has some less-farouable parts. I.e. ropes, lots of mud, and steep sections.

It is about 3 hours hike to one of the oldest cedar trees that is still alive . it is more than 700 years old . If you continue your hike, you end up to a water fall, that is really huge and gorgeous. I recommend to do that if you are willing to spend about 5 hours in your hike.

Started and ended our ride from Parkgate Park - way less crowded than bottom of Old Buck parking lot.

This is one of the most beautiful places that should be on a “must go” list. When you go, make sure you got the proper shoes because it can be a bit wet and muddy in a summer and slippery during the winter. By the way, this park might still have snow during the summer months :)) super gorgeous and breath taking place!

Great trail about 6km each way, well marked but a technical trail and very wet with multiple streams to pass over, but beautiful falls and a fun trail with 500m elevation change there and back. Overall all easy and fun!

This is such a beautiful trail! Beautiful trees, streams, and interesting paths to follow that lead you to a massive cedar tree. It’s not a strenuous trail; however, offers some complexity that made it more fun. Climbing over fallen trees, using a rope to help you scale up and down and rocky area and hopping over rocks and trees to pass streams. I’m giving it a 4 (and not a 5) purely because I didn’t find the trails to be well marked so I had to go more slowly in order to ensure I was on the right path.

This bridge is incredible, at first glance you don’t even know it’s a suspension bridge because of the way it looks. Yet, if you walk across it fast you definitely feel the movements. There are many paths here which lead below the river and further up Seymour, totally worth the hike. ☺️

Nice hike, lots of bikes whizzing by. Cool history about the bridges, the old foundations are there to see. Nice spot for swimming too.

The trails are well maintained. I love this stretch of river... quite save.
4 levels of trails.
The only thing is the lack of human washrooms.
No mosquito.

This is a great hike even though it is a little more challenging than I expected. It is rated on All Trails at a moderate difficulty, but it is definitely a moderate + especially on bad weather days.
You need to be in decent shape to complete this trail in <3.5 hours. Some sites will tell you not to do it if you have knee or ankle problems and I agree with them, BUT... I completed it on a knee that has had two surgeries and an ankle that had one surgery. I am going to pay for it the next few days but it can be done, IF you have done a good job of rehabbing you broken joint.
Leave a trip plan with somone before you go, take lots of water, pack snacks or a lunch, wear good hiking or trail shoes and go for it.

Quiet local park with a newer kids playground and an area for seniors exercise and wellness. Baseball diamond and soccer field adjacent to the park, but usually booked by organised teams. Lovely place to hang out on a summer evening.

Nice spot. You can see the footings for the two old Bridges. A bit wobbly, you can feel it wiggle under you feet witch is awesome!

Nice trail, quiet nature, beautiful shallow river

The ridge is accessible via "Erik the Red" trail or the popular Ridge & Alpine trails leading to Dam, Goat, Crown Mountains from the West road on Grouse Mountain. The Ridge trail is the quickest route. I encountered a black bear on Thunderbird Ridge on my return, so be bear aware.

I did a hike up to the top of Mt. Seymour this past Saturday. There was still a lot of snow and it was a little foggy but it was a nice hike nevertheless :) I'd recommend it but maybe do it earlier in the summer for snowshoeing or later if you don't want large patches of snow.

Great suspension bridge and trail. Surespan construction did a good job building it. I have started the small hike from the lower Seymour conservation reserve (parking lot below the demo forest entrance at the top) and by Hyannis drive closer to blue ridge. It was still a bit icy but we enjoyed it!

Excellent day for a hike in January.

Great hike through beautiful woods right next to Vancouver. The trail is very well-maintained and amazingly well-signed. Definitely doable year-round. We hiked this trail on Christmas Day and while I would definitely recommend good waterproof hiking boots the trail wasn’t too difficult. ~3 hour round trip to Big Cedar, but you can continue on to Kennedy Falls for a longer hike.

Gorgeous hike! I only trekked to the big cedar which took about 3 hours total - next time I'll continue to Kennedy Falls.

Recommend visiting here in the winter and watching the sunrise. Had an usually warm winter day with full sun and was almost 15 degrees Celsius. Easy to rent snowshoes but would go early as it does get busy with rentals and for parking. Multiple trails to choose from for when snowshoeing and a great workout. I have been told also that it very romantic to watch the sunset from here also. Not recommended to bring Fido on this one.

Pretty nice trail and less crowded than many others. Parking can be a challenge. It's a shared use trail so watch for bikes for the 1st. Kilometer. We went to Kennedy Falls and we're back to the car in just about 4 hours and we didn't hurry. The highlight of this trail for me was the Yew trees. The spindly sticky Yew on the right is probably several times as old as the mighty Fir on the left.

Great view from the top, couldn't get much better than this during a hike. Took around 90 mins to reach from the cable car.

Very accessible and easy year-round hike. Park at the Mount Fomme lot. Follow the gravel road and you will see a sign with orange markings along the way.

Great hike about 4 to 5 hours, 10km return. Not too difficult and all in the shade. The outhouse by the parking is the only bathroom facility. You will trek through a few creeks, pass by a giant cedar tree that's over 600 years old a bit over half way and end up at the beautiful Kennedy Falls. Pack a light lunch and enjoy the scenery before heading back.

Beautiful scenery. I went snowshoeing up the mountain after taking the gondola -- rented my shoes the whole day, and it was worth it.

We had a fortunate time to hit regular Vancouver weather with quite a bit of overcast. We did manage to have a break in the weather patterns just long enough to get a few nice shots.
Definitely worth while to come here on a clear sunny day. The view would be amazing and you'd be able to see Vancouver and the Grouse wind turbine in the foreground.
