I would only eat claypot rice using charcoal to cook in Singapore. Still missed the time when the stalls were on roadside. First time trying and came out was one of my 2 favourite stalls. The ingredients were generous. Had to wait at least 1/2 hours but it was worth it. The rice was well cooked.

Be ready to wait, but you will be rewarded with the best claypot chicken rice- Taste and money value wise. Tip - Call to order ahead and save some wait time.

The rice is cooked just right, and the chicken marinate is spot on. Only gripe is that the salted fish seem to have shrunk in size.

Danger of overloading carbs very real. So balance it with vegs and soup that the stall also offers.

Very decent claypot but it is considered a lighter taste for me. Would also like with more ingredients but the price is very reasonable for what we got - $20 for the large one which was enough for 4 pax. Ordered some other dishes to go along and it was a very good dinner. We wait around 45 mins (Friday evening)

First time here, visited both Sat and Sun, wait times were 1h both times so we decided to just order on our second try, we got the $12

Taste 1/1*
Tasted pretty good, nothing crazy amazing to justify the wait

Value 0/1*
Good value for the amount of food, bad for the amount of time spend waiting

Service 1/1*
Fast and friendly

Cleanliness 1/1*
It’s a hawker center

Overall/Revisit 0/1*
Would rather spend our time else where if we were to wait for 1h for food

Paying for ambience/reputation? 0/-1*
NO
Above and beyond? 0/+1*
NO

Note: very honorable business, served me the 8 instead of 12, but refunded me 4 half way through eating

Disappointing, given that this stall is very well-known and is even a Michelin Bib Gourmand recommendation. Looking at the reviews, I would guess that quality is inconsistent.
We only had to wait about 20 mins for our mixed claypot rice on a Fri night (not the 45 mins we were told to expect to wait, and certainly not the 1.5 hrs some reviewers here mentioned).
Perhaps we should have waited longer to take the lid off the claypot, as our rice was wet and soft - sacrilegious for claypot rice! There was also no socarrat (the crusty burnt bit at the bottom of the clay pot) to speak off.
The chicken pieces were well-seasoned and tender though.
The accompanying kai lan veg dish was nothing to shout about - standard zichar standard with a heavy coating of gloopy oyster sauce.

Ordered $8 claypot rice. Waited exact 30min from open of 3pm till 3.30pm. You can pre-order b4 3pm.

What i like
Lup cheong. They actually comes in 2 types. One more savory and the other with more complex flavor profile.

Vege and rice. Even if u delay abit b4 stirring the rice won't be stuck. But must stir all sides. Vege are freshly put in and you can choose how much spring onions to put in.

Rice. Generally well cooked before serving. Rest is up to you.

What I don't like
I hate the chicken with bone. Tender is tender but the bone is sharp and keep poking my tongue.

Customization. Usually good and i got the dark sauce right but not the oil. Luckily i watch other clay pot store and realized they put all lot... Oil it is transparent i didn't figure how and most didn't show so mostly too dry.

Price. Rice is plentiful but meat really not so much. Maybe 33% more pricey.

One of the popular Claypot rice in Singapore especially for visitors. Ingredients and sauce are pretty great. It is good one but not really worth to wait for so long.
