When it comes to maintenance repairs and the apartments themselves, it’s fast and efficient. The apartments are older, but acceptable and spacious. Rent is reasonable and the location is quiet and near Downtown Bellevue and Factoria which is great.
However, the biggest problem with this apartment complex is the parking and security.
There have been multiple break-ins at this apartment complex. Mainly because it’s located right off the express way, which makes it easy for thieves to just break in, steal, and drive away.
My vehicle has been broken into before as well as some of my neighbors. The police have been to this complex many times, but can’t seem to solve the issue.
I personally believe you need more lighting, especially at the back end of the parking lot. Some type of camera security system is also a necessity. You cannot allow this amount of crime to happen freely here. These are your residents who deserve a safe and crime free environment for what they’re paying.
Parking in general can be a big hassle. At the end of a work day there will be very little spots left, so you are forced to park out front on the side of the main road where your vehicle is not safe at night. It could easily get broken into or stolen.
I believe the parking issue stems from multiple vehicles that are unregistered with the apartment complex taking up spaces. I see a lot of out of state vehicles and vehicles that stay in the same spots for multiple weeks in a row. On top of that there should probably be a vehicle limit of 2 when leasing an apartment here. The complex simply cannot house as many vehicles as you see come through here.
Aside from these two issues of parking and security, it’s a good place to live. The maintenance team is very friendly, fast, and efficient at solving maintenance requests. The office is good at handling problems when you call them. The rent is reasonable. The units and clean, spacious, and offer everything you would need for a comfortable living situation. The pool is nice and the workout room is decent. You have a huge field and trail across the street to take your dogs to. It’s very close to Factoria and Downtown Bellevue as well. The express way is right there too.

This apartment management. is NOT ethical in their practices my father sent a check on behalf of my mother. my father and mother are divorced, and my father lives out of state he mailed a check to pay for her rent I brought it to the rental office in September. the check that they said they had not received was deposited in November, they claimed that they could not find the check a month later they deposited it. after my father issued a new check.

I have had a pleasant experience living at Emerald Ridge. Because the office staff is remote, it can be a little tricky to get someone on the phone, but they always return the call. When the rare issue has arisen, the staff has done everything they can to remedy the situation and/or explain what was going on.
Yes, the buildings are not new and are not well padded for noise. You will occasionally hear your neighbors, but nothing beyond what you would expect living in an older apartment building. Recently, I had an emergency maintenance situation and Kaya went above and beyond to make sure maintenance stopped by immediately. The maintenance team, particularly Luis, is very friendly and doesn't cut corners when making repairs.
The main downside is the traffic on 118th in the early evening and near the 405 junction. Other than that, Emerald Ridge is a great place to live.

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the maintenance team, particularly Luis and Michael. They've proven to be not only highly competent but also incredibly reliable and honest in addressing all concerns I've raised. Their willingness to go above and beyond in answering my questions has made a significant difference. Despite the minor traffic inconvenience on southbound 118 between 4 pm and 7 pm every weekday, the location remains conveniently accessible to both 405 and I-90. It's worth noting that spending nearly 20 minutes in that area during peak hours is not uncommon.

First in foremost- Luis is top notch Nicest most efficient maintenance team I’ve ever had in my 7 years Bellevue. Give that boy a raise.
Now for the real talk..
My daughter was scheduled to have a conference call with a “Jen Adams “ ???
Couldn’t tell you if it’s a real person or not.. the meeting was for last month and we’ve NEVER HEARD FROM HER/HIM
Now the matter we wished to speak on was very minimal and not of extreme importance (they did not know that) we received a confirmation the call-meet will take place on (for example) a Monday.
Why is my daughter calling and emailing Tues. Wed. Thurs. Fri. And then when we finally get a lady on the phone (NOT the “Jen adams” but a different lady, she is EXTREMELY- and unnecessarily rude with a sense of “I can’t be bothered with this right now” and proceeds to tell me this Jen Adams person is “very busy” and she’ll get to me when she has a chance??? After a WEEK of calling/emailing
I’ll update this if we ever hear from this Jen Adams but if you’re looking for a unit for a loved one, be prepared to fight tooth and nail to speak to anyone who will give a rats behind.
Again they did not know the matter was minimal.. what if it was urgent/safety matter?
All else, place is clean, and in a good spot for someone who works in town.

The apartments are in a decent location but the build quality of the units is awful (the walls and floors might as well be papier-mâché). Management staff is almost irrelevant and very late to respond to requests / inquiries. Smoking is also allowed so expect your apartment to wreak like cigarette smoke from any neighbor who might be a smoker (incredibly trashy I’m being perfectly honest). Definitely steer clear, you can find MUCH better quality for the price.

The staff here can be extremely friendly only until they hook you up with Deposit and Application fee. Once you make your payment, you are completely discarded. Firstly, they do not do their job of verifying if essentials are taken care like equipment, basic clean up, blinds, etc. to make sure new tenants are good to move in. The modern day trend I've observed lately especially in Bellevue is that they expect new tenants to find issues and report them as maintenance issues even before they move in. This is done when you want to submit any complaints you might have before you move in. Some things you will end up noticing after you move in. Then you are stuck with bad management who will disregard your emails or phone calls. The worst part is that most of your calls go to their automated systems and no one cares to call you back. I lost my $300 deposit and $50 application fee because I didn't want to move in to a unit that was not fully ready to move in. The staff here can be very rude when you complain about obvious issues. It's their duty to do preliminary checks before they force people to sign up. Its my fault to believe such people in the first place. But I didn't want to deal with such people and chose to lose my deposit. I'm now well situated with a better management as they are very professional. Long story short - this place is not worth it. I've given honest feedback to the management but they didn't bother to return my money saying they cant repay my deposit because they took the unit off the market for a while assuming I would sign the lease. But hey, your apartment and staff is not worth it. No thank you!
