I recently traveled from London to Paris via Eurostar and booked an Airbnb near La Chapelle metro station. This review is not specifically about the metro station itself but rather my overall experience in the surrounding area.
Upon arriving at the Eurostar station, my initial walk to the Airbnb felt somewhat uneasy, though still manageable. However, my experience changed significantly when walking to La Chapelle station from my Airbnb. The streets had a noticeable presence of groups of people, mostly men, who seemed to be just standing around without a clear purpose. This made me feel quite unsafe, as they appeared to be observing passersby in a way that felt uncomfortable and intimidating.
During my stay, there were several incidents that further contributed to my sense of insecurity. On the first night, there was a fight right outside my accommodation involving several individuals. On the second night, a car parked downstairs was broken into, adding to the feeling of unease.
As a tourist, I would not recommend this area. I found it much safer to travel to and from Marx Dormoy, and I opted for Uber instead of walking or using the metro late at night. Later, I learned that this neighborhood is considered relatively unsafe compared to other parts of Paris.
For those planning a visit to Paris, I would advise caution and recommend exploring alternative accommodations in safer areas of the city. Despite the convenient location near the Eurostar, the overall atmosphere around La Chapelle left much to be desired.

What a dumpy area. Looks like the indigenous population evacuated to make room for the dark continent's inhabitants to move in. Like much of Europe nowadays.
20240616 : Still a complete dump of an area. If you're a tourist, my advice to you is "avoid at all costs!"

Doesn't look like its Paris, lots of immigrant gangs and mafias, everyone who goes yo la chapelle should be aware of him/her self because there are alot of thieves

Feb 2022: We've never had an issue with any Metro in Paris. Quick, cheap, convenient way to travel. Highly accessible from all over the city. La Chapelle is a station on Paris Métro Line 2, on the border of the 10th and 18th arrondissements, above the Boulevard de la Chapelle. The station is connected to the Gare du Nord and the Gare du Nord Métro station on lines 4 and 5.

When you are in Paris, everything is beautiful!!!

Very cool, elevated station and line. This line hits many of the major sights/stops. Helpful staff.

Busy station, Need a ling walk to connect with RER. Outside is worse... Dirty....
