High quality produce and incredibly affordable. Worth the un-fun parking lot

I've shopped here for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. Absolutely love anytime I visit NJ and I can stop by here and get fresh fruits and vegetables. I wish seafood was still sold here and they had online ordering but will continue shopping for years to come.

Good prices. They have a little bit of everything, a few aisles and a dairy section too.

This is one farmers market that if I didn't almost accidentally stumble onto it, I would never have known that they even existed. Garden Farmers Market is located in the back to the side of Belleville Plaza, which is, to say the least, a disadvantageous position. Yet this proves to be a nicely popular place. The prices are quite favorably comparable to regular stores in the produce section, but do be prudent and deliberate in your shopping. The leafy vegetables such as lettuce and cabbage can be hit or miss, but many of the chilled ground vegetables like scallions, leeks, asparagus, and escarole can be quite good. The peppers are a bargain, as are the onions. Potatoes and tomatoes can be good too. The rolls section can produce great bargains as well. They also have a small flower section outside.

Found everything i needed. Fresh and clean veggies n fruit. Cashier was awesome. All these goodies for $15.23

Enjoyed my 1st visit to this market, unfortunately, Ive been to slightly larger farmer markets not too far from this location, with more options. I LUV that they sell my Walden Farms sugar/calorie free products, which normally cost close to $5 each. Their always $2.99 @ farmer's market...great buy, especially for senior diabetics that may be on a budget. This location deserves a 4+ rating, from me. Thanks for ur existence, Garden Farmers Market.

2024 update:
At this point I have been going to this market for years. I absolutely love this place. As a matter of fact, I think that we are lucky to live by this farmers market. I always come here for fresh fruits and berries(organic berries for one dollar a box when in season), and vegetables(special thanks for jersey tomatoes), their bread is better than in local bakeries. I also like olives and oaxaca cheese that you can find in a refrigerator stand.
I totally take it back about the staff being impolite. Everybody is friendly and professional.
As for the flowers section, I guess they make a good use of the space they have. And I must say that, when weather allows, there is a beautful plants display set just ourside of the markets entrance. Sometimes they sell really pretty plants.
In conclusion, it's the absolute best place in the area to buy high quality and cheap fresh produce, as well as fresh bread.

Tight space with unfriendly staff, but hands down best prices on fresh produce and fresh bread. Flowers section looks sad.
