What a lovely park Walton park is, in Warrington. Mini zoo, gardens which are beautiful so well kept, duck pond, cafe, park for children so much to do lots of open space. Loved it, even the weather was beautiful today.
Lovely place to visit. Great children's zoo with goats, pigs, peacocks and alpacas. We really enjoyed this and plan to visit again. There is also a large play area with plenty of picnic benches and seating for the adults. The gardens surrounding the Hall are beautiful and well kept. Parking cost £3.50 for our whole time there which is an absolute bargain. Great place to take the kids for a few hours.
Really nice open walk, beautiful gardens, historic buildings and a nice large park for young ones with a mini zoo next too it!
Pleasant afternoon wandering around the park. You can’t go inside the Hall, but there is a small garden area and woodland walks. The restored greenhouse is beautiful and contains a large collection of tillandsia in conjunction with the RHS. The cafe has a lovely range of sandwiches and cakes. I visited with another adult, and would have rated it 3 stars. But I’ve given it 4 stars because of the fabulous range of activities for families with children with a petting farm, pitch and put, play areas, ariel ropes etc so plenty to keep them amused and entertained!!
Well laid out gardens, lots of things to do for all ages and very well looked after, even has a pond with turtles living in, zoo attraction, huge kids playground, highly recommended. Drops a star due to the expensive car park, should be free!
Beautiful parc, the flowers and trees are astonishing, especially during spring/summer. We always have a great time here, lovely walks, and the playground is well equipped for kids of all ages. The small zoo is so cute and the animals are well looked after. There is a cosy cafe with good options for meals or snaks, and the grounds have plenty of space for picnics. Parking can be difficult to find at weekends or holidays but there is additional space towards the back. There are several toilets around with baby changing facilities.
Did a loop from Hill Cliffe stopping is Walton Gardens before carrying on to the Reservoir. The beautiful gardens never fail to disappoint and we discovered the Forget You Not Garden which is such a lovely and peaceful place to remember loved ones. Everything is so beautifully kept and Walton Gardens has something for all ages. I brought my children here and now they bring their children. Thank you to all the staff who work so hard.
