Spent a relatively high amount of money on a filter coffee maker from what I assumed was a quality brand. After 12 months the LCD clock started to fail and continually lost more Cystals until the time was unreadable. I contacted their support as soon as I noticed and was told the warranty only lasts 12 months so there was nothing they could do. Now after 27 months the unit has completely failed, I assume the pump has gone.
So if you want a pretty looking coffee maker that has a lifespan of two years SMEG is the brand for you.

I had a terrible experience with Smeg. Purchased a Smeg oven in 2019. A few weeks ago the cooling fan stopped operating. The fan needs to be replaced after just 3 1/2 years at a cost of $525! According to the repairman (recommended by Smeg) ) a cooling fan should last 10 to 15 years. My oven has been meticulously maintained. Of course the warranty has expired after 2 years.

I couldn’t be more happier with SMEG USA customer service team. I was having problems with SMEG electric kettle and toaster after 2 years. The customer service team were able to look into my problem and asked for the proof of purchase. They were able to send me the replacement kettle and toaster. Special shout-out to the National Service Manager, Mr. Vogel, who takes an extra step to make sure your problem gets solved. One of the best and quickest customer service we have encountered so far. 5 stars to the SMEG customer service team!!

What an amazing Customer Experience!
I reached out to SMEG and Adam and his team were impeccable with response time, professional demeanor and service! I own many SMEG products and love the aesthetic style of the brand…now I love their customer service as well! Kudos to the SMEG team and Adam.

Please save yourself the headache, do not purchase anything from SMEG. Their products look good but not as reliable as before and when you have problems with their merchandises, the service/repair/department representative in Manhattan is extremely rude and not customer friendly.
DO NOT BUY SMEG in New York State. There are other expensive/ reliable brands better SMEG where their companies value the customers. Look at their reviews in the service department!!!!

I purchased a SMEG a rather expensive built-in oven that came broken - The LED display was completely misaligned. Despite numerous calls and emails to SMEG they never responded. Fortunately, the dealer from whom I purchased it, was very responsive and the problem was solved. I would never recommend anyone to purchase their products as while their products are stylish, their build quality and service are extraordinary awful. Stay away
